I was in one of those curious thought patterns tonight, and was wondering....what does it feel like when you break a bone? Now, I know it can't really be described exactly, since everyone's experiences are different. But, what is the feeling like? Is it a feeling of intense pressue, stinging, or something else? I've thankfully never broken a bone, that's why I'm asking.

If you fracture your skull and the doctor tell you that the bleeding as stop, are you out of damage from it starting back again? He fell backward on the street playing football with his kids last week.
My step son age 40 fracture his skull and he is still have severe pain. They kept his overnight, released him with several medications. A couple of days later he went back because the pain has not stopped, it is worst. They gave him some new medications and said that it will take time for the pain to go away. He said that when he lays down it is the worse. Seating up is better, and standing up the pain seem to ease up. They gave him some warning signs if the bleeding start back, i.e. blurred vision, vomitting, diahera, etc.
I think that he should still be in the hospital until he feels normal. What are the warning signs that he should be back in the hospital, they live forty miles from the closest hospital.

I have a sharp pain in the distal joint of my big toe. I am a ballet dancer who dances 20hrs a week, so i know it could be a stress fracture. Any other ideas? It hurts alot when walking and when it is moved passively, especially when moved side to side.

I would have to say that the worst thing that happened to my feet is when I was walking barefoot and had to jump down off of a 3 foot retaining wall to get to the path leading to my friend's house. I wasn't looking when I jumped, and my right foot landed directly on 2 quarter inch thick, 3 inch long nails. At first I didn't feel too much, I just thought I landed on a rock. But when I tried to walk away I realized my right foot wouldn't move. So I finally looked down and saw 2 nails sticking out of the top of my foot, one between the 2nd and 3rd bones, and the other between the 3rd and 4th bones. So I managed to pry my foot loose and when I did it looked like a red waterfall. It finally healed up alright, except for some nice indentation scars where the holes were. And did I mention that I could see right through my foot once it quit bleeding?

My feet hurt all the way from my heals to my arches.. Does anyone know what to do about this. Everyone says I will just get used to it, but the more often I do it the worse off it is.
