if it's just in one spot it could be an abcess, a pocket of infection, that starts to heal and then flares up again. or you could be having an allergic reaction to something. or you could have leukoplakia, mouth cancer. you should see your dentist about it.

could be a canker sore or a place where you bit it and then it got infected....i would go to a doc if i was you.
