I have gotten best answer several times for this:
Start icing as soon as you feel one coming on- at least for 1 hour
Use Campho-phenique often - I do it hourly
Apply white (non gel) toothpaste at bedtime.
I have tried everything and researched some crazy remedies. This is cheap, fast and effective.

Ask your doc for a prescription. It is primarily the same thing used for Herpes . You take it on the first onset of a cold sore prior to the blister stage ,and it will stop it it's tracks. You take 2 pills 24 hours apart. I have two in my travelbag, two in my car and two at home.
Abreava is a great product if you into marketing.
This one is a no brainer so try it.

I'm not sure, but if I were you I'd go to my Dr and see if they can prescribe something to you so they won't show up at all. Good luck!
