This doesn't sound like a 3rd degree burn. 3rd degree, or full thickness burns, have burned though all the layers of skin destroying the muscles, blood vessels and nerve fibers so they don't hurt. The tissue is dead and it's never growing back. This sounds like a second degree, or partial thickness burn. These really hurt, turn red and blister. Unless ordered to by a MD NEVER put anything on a burn. ASAP after the burn occurs place it in a container ie: a sink or tub etc, of cool water to stop the burning process. Don't use ice. There are things that a MD might put on it later like sulfadine but it depends on what the doctors sees.

Well tell your doctor that it starts to bleed when you move your arm, maybe he will decide to give you something, but if he dont go to your first aid kit at work or any first aid kit, and theres some burn cream, i think its for fresh burns, but it should do a good job at keeping it from cracking and bleeding. Also, you can try cocoa-butter or vaseline.

A burn needs air in order to heal. You may be able to try something that has cocoa butter in it so the scar will not be very visible when it heals. Also when you shower try to keep that area from becoming wet. That way maybe it won't dry out so much.

don't put anything on it that you haven't okay'd with a doctor! I had severe 2nd and 3rd degree burns covering the backs of my legs and my back a couple of years ago, and my doctor told me to put vaseline gauze on it and then cover that with curlex or some other type of cloth gauze. ask your doctor if something like this will work for you...good luck!!

dont put lotion on it, it keeps in the heat and makes it harder to heal. get a burn gel to help moisturize to stop the bleeding. it will also help draw out the heat of the burn, and in turn, help it heal faster.
