Injuries - June 2006

Just got worse tonight. All the muscles are tight and knotted and I cant move my head with out pain.
Please help. Thinking of going to chiropractor tomorrow

This morning I woke up at hearing someone at the door. I got up quickly, and ran, I fell down and twisted my ankle, dragged myself to the door, got it, then sat down with help. It's been 8 hours, and it really hurts!

Is this type of injury common? About how long do you think until my ankle be feeling better? AND: More importantly, should I go to the doctors perhasp?

there is a small purple dot close to the hole on the penis that you piss through...about 2 months ago i was taking as shower and the really fast water coming out hit that spot on the inside of the penis skin and it freaking hurt...i think its not as purple as before but im not sure and i would really want suggestions since I'm getting kind of worried...the dot is small like the size of a small crumb

my shoulder was relocated in a&e about 2 hours after the accident. there is no feeling in my arm and hand and i cannot fift my arm

I get a cramp after or during a football game either by over running or over streching, but the weird thing is that normally people can run the cramp off, but i cant once i get it, it becomes sore and takes days to heal. Any ideas why that may be and how to help it?

I had acl repair about 3 months ago and things are progressing well. Yesterday I slipped on mud and fell. I landed with my bad leg bent under me. It hurt a little but I could walk afterwards. I'm a little concerned that I may have hurt it...but I also feel that I may just have bend my knee more than I was used to.

I see my Physical Therapist tomorrow, but any advice in the meantime?

I have personally never seen anyone apply raw meat to a black eye, mainly because I've never been around someone who got one (a black eye, that is). Do people actually do this, or is this some kind of tv and film myth? And if so, what is it about raw meat that would help a black eye or make a difference?

Do you think I could have cracked it? It is bruised and swollen. Hurts to move around. It even has a feeling of being asleep. Just feels weird.

My mom is 40 and had extreme upper leg/hip pain after she walked for 2 hours about a week ago. She went to the doctor, where they thought she strained a muscle, but yesterday she went to the doctor again, after she wasnt doing much better, and now she has to get an MRI on Monday. I'm really worried about her, and they think she may have a bulging disk in her spine!! Does anyone know what else it could be? How serious is a bulging disk?

I have this really bad pain on my upper part of my left leg. I cant really lift it very high. I cant walk proper. I do a lot of kick boxing, and grappling, but I came home from class and i was fine. I was fine all next day at work. But when i woke up today, the pain started. I could not even climb in the shower with out yelling cuz the pain was horrible.

This started exactly 3 weeks ago. I have NO swelling, full range of motion, no discoloration, no prior history of knee problems- ever. There was no "sudden injury" - exercise a lot and it started hurting after a long day of working out. The pain is mainly on the inner side of my left knee. I also feel a soreness over my kneecap, but I'm not sure if that's just secondary pain. I'm not taking anti-inflammatories because I'm afraid that they will interfere with the healing process. The pain isn't killing me, but it bothers me and I'm afraid that this isn't going to get better. I can walk without a limp, but honestly I do feel tenderness and a little pain when I do walk. I have icing the injury 3 times a day and am not sure if I should continue icing my knee since there has never been any visible swelling. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Last couple of days, my right hand and wrist has been painful. Almost like muscle cramp or muscle ache and I'm wondering what it could be. I did play around with a object that was supposed to strengthen your fingers by working it out (as weird as that sounds). My husband's friend had that in his house and I was playing around with it recently; could that be the reason?

Last night my friends and I got into an argument with another group of guys outside a bar. One dude threw a punch at my friend, and all hell broke loose. Next thing I know, I'm pounding a guys head into the ground when I was jumped from behind.

I started wrestling with this nutter, and before I could pin him, he started chomping my arm. I have black and blue teeth marks on my forearm, and it actually broke the skin in two spots.

I washed it thoroughly, and poured peroxide on the puncture wounds before applying an antiseptic cream.

What diseases are transmissible through a human bite? I'm keep an eye out for infection, but should I worry about something communicable as well?

4 days ago, I fell down from my bicycle, and it hurted my back alot for 1 day.
The next day I was great with no pain, but 2 days ago that pain came down nearby my kidneys! Can I do? it hurts alot.

I was boxing with my friend and he got me in the ear....now it feels weird but i can still hear. Usually before this problem when i plug my nose and blow out with my nose, my ear would just pop easily...now when i do it, i hear shhhh noises..what can i do? and OTC or prescription?

I couldn't kick the ball back to my daughter as I had flip flops on, so I hit it voleyball style. Unfortunately, I missed my palm & used only my wrist to hit it.

Straight away a lump formed on my wrist and by god it hurt. My vein fekt like it was gonna pop out!!!

It is not broke as I can move all my fingers and type without any problems. It hurts when I try to grip things and the lump has not gone down. It is strated to bruise and I have a tingling sensation down the left side of my wrist.

I don't want to wait in A&E for 5 hours as it will be full of drunk football fans & sunburnt kids.

Any idea of what I could have done?
