Do you think I could have cracked it? It is bruised and swollen. Hurts to move around. It even has a feeling of being asleep. Just feels weird.

Just to let everyone know. I went to the ER and it was a hair line fracture. Thanks for all the answers. I'm in a splint and should heal soon, I hope.

While it is most likely a good bruise or even a bone bruise you probably want to get that wrist x-rayed. The tingling feeling doesn't sound good. Assuming you havn't packed the wrist with ice all day. A bruise won't cause tingling. A broken bone could and lots of small bones in the wrist.

Some first aid, if you did it in the last couple hours ice up the wrist to fight swelling and pain. Take asperin or Motrin again for swelling and pain. Imobilize the wrist with a splint if you have one or at least a wrap. Keep it up above your body to reduce the swelling.

A good bruise will see diminished pain rather soon. It'll still hurt for a long time but not excruciating. A bone bruise hurts for a long time. A hair line fracture will hurt for a long time as well and it could fragment causing serious problems. So best to go see the Doc if you can afford it. Even if you can't if it hasn't subsided quite a bit in 24 hours your mobility in your wrist is too important to let money be the problem.

You could have a fracture of one of the wrist bones or sprained it. Have it checked by a doctor. You may need a splint and inflammatory medicine. Keep cold compresses on it until you see a doctor.

I tried to help! It is possible to be anything. Could be a very serious bruise all the way to a cracked bone.

Ice would help the swelling and take some tylenol to help the pain.

Yep, you may have cracked a bone.. even minor breaks can be painful.. that and the fact that you also may have damaged tendons, muscle, etc.. irritated nerves, I would have it checked at the e.r..., You really do need an xray!

if there are blood clots, use leech.
if there are bruises, use ice.or hard boiled eggs.
if there is a crack, go to the hospital.
if there is numbing feel. poke it.

hmm

You'll probably need an Xray to be sure, but give it 24 hours to see if it improves.

definitely not a bad idea to get it checked- the numbness is the key concern as it indicates possible nerve damage.
