General Health Care - November 2007

I have sooooo much pain, i can't get massages, it hurts too much to be touched, but my back from top to bottom is so bad i can't bend most of the time.

I'm currently staying in a hotel in Spain (on a business trip) where the bed is so uncomfortable that I can't sleep! Also, the hotel is just noisy (people playing music and talking loudly) despite it being 3.30 am!

What can i do? I'm supposed to be doing a trade show, so I need my sleep, and moving hotels is not an option due to costs!

Please help!

i always do but i have nothing to be stressed about!
my neck always feels tense, my back has knots in it, and i get headaches from stress realted things, but theres nothing stressful in my life!!


HOW can i just relaaaaaaax and get rid of this stress?? best answer will be givin out.

I have experianced some quite painful leg cramps today..its started with short sharp pains in my left leg whil walking up/down the stairs. Then when I got home both legs started cramping like crazy and won't stop hurting! I stretch daily during P.E. And i've suddenly noticed that I can see the veins in my legs! I drink lots of fluids everyday (almost) and i'm not overweight..so..what's going on?

I often wake up during the middle of the night, but feel that I can not move, or breathe right. I just have to lay there and hope for the best. Does anyone know what this is? Every doctor that I go to finds it funny and doesn't believe me, I guess. But this is scary!

I have been on dexamethazone since June and want to stop taking steroids, they are terrible. What can I do if the pain and swelling comes back, or is there a good chance it wont come back for a while?

I got to help my brother move tomorrow so I can earn some cash. And I really need to do this!! I sprain my left ankle walking my pit bull plus I have had a couple 24'oz. budweisers so I was a little tipsy cause I don't drank much. It swelled a little. I'm just asking what should I do to speed the process of healing any home remedies out there?? my gf wrapped it. And my toes are going numb a little. I'm considering general anaesthesia for my upcoming vaccination (Td/IPV), as I have a severe phobia of hypodermic needles and any procedures involving them. Cream doesn't work for me, neither does gel... I haven't been offered anything else. I'm scared of the needle, not the pain, which makes things one hell of a lot trickier - you can't have a Td/IPV (Tetanus/Diptheria/Polio) vaccination by anything but needle, I've been told.

However, I've been told that general anaesthesia is risky - why? What effects would it have on me, if things were to go wrong (I'm thirteen years old, female, and about 8kg below average weight for my height - roughly 60kg)? And, if it's so risky, why is it used all the time - or does it just depend on age and body type?

I don't want to hear that I'm a wimp for being so incredibly phobic of needles - just an answer would be perfect. Thanks in advance!

It always feels like there is a lot of pressure in my head.
When I exercise, run, or I get hot my head starts to throb and pound like my heart is beating inside of it.
I don't actually much pain in my head, it just feels like a lot of pressure. What could this be?

NOTE- Please dont tell me "Go to a doctor." I made an appointment for next week but I want to know what this is in advance.

How soon do they kick in? It's been over an hour & I feel no relief. Are they in the same family as Morphine? When I broke my leg 2 years ago, 2 IM morphine shots did not work on me.
