Honest truth: possibly. From the symptoms you've described, it could be broken or sprained. If it feels slightly lumpy and weird to the touch, it could also be dislocated, in which case you need to go and get the bone popped back into the socket (yes, it hurts, but it's not as bad as a broken bone).

Even after saying all that, it could easily be just a bruise to the bone. If that's the case then just protect it from bangs and bumps as you would with any other bruise - a support for your wrist may help you with that.

But, whatever you've done to it, something is definitely wrong, judging from the symptoms you've listed, so go and get it looked at by a health professional as soon as you can to get it treated. It may just be a bruise or something else minor, as I said, but better safe than sorry; the longer you leave it, the worse it'll get. In the meantime, keep it as still as you can - don't try and wrap it yourself in case you cause more damage.

Hope I helped.

Without an x-ray I am not going to be able to tell you whether or not your wrist is broken ... but you know, instead of going to see a doctor you have sat down and typed out a question here on Yahoo!Answers. My guess is that it probably isn't. I still won't be able to tell for sure unless you get an x-ray.

If it is hurting so much, you should probably go and see a doctor. They might be able to tell by examining you, but in many cases you might need an x-ray.

The things you can do fairly simply are:

Rest Ice Compression Elevation

Rest your hand - put it in a sling

Ice your wrist - with an ice pack or a bag of frozen peas or something similar

Compression - apply a bandage or some type of compressive device to the wrist - many pharmacies sell wrist guards or wrist strapping things

Elevation - in your sling, aim to have your hand at about the level of your heart. When you have a lie down to sleep, prop your arm up on a pillow to keep it elevated

Simple pain relief may be helpful - e.g. paracetamol (or acetaminophen) or perhaps NSAIDs like ibuprofen. Make sure you have adult supervision with medications.

I agree with the other answer cant really say without a xray.
Do not however wrap your wrist. You can cut of needed circulation and make things worse. Do however immobilize it by using a sling, If need be cut up a tee shirt and use it for a sling, Cold compress to help swelling. You can take Tylenol or any ibuprofen to help swelling. Prop on a pillow when sleeping
Best of luck to you

If the pain it to bad along with really abd swelling ask your parents to take u into the ER

Sounds like it is, put your arm up, and put some ice on it for 20 minutes at a time. When you go to bed, make sure you have it elevated. You really should go tonight and have it looked at. It could be really swollen tomarrow and they would have a hard time getting a cast on it.
