General Health Care - November 2007

I'm 53 and I have just been quoted a plan at £55 per month. Is it worthwhile considering this although I'm in good health at present?

My husband doesn’t have regular seizures and can normally cope with disco lights. However he would really like to see a rock concert that may have strobe lighting. It was ok last time but I wonder if dark glasses would help?

It causes an annoying kink in my upper back that I can't seem to crack out. I haven't gone to a Chiropractor or an Orthodontist(sp) yet, but I will soon. Will it be possible to make my spine straight?

I woke up ouf of a deep sleep with a horrible pain on the left side of my head. I have had migraines before, but they are normally occular (steming from the eyes). I am not sure what could have caused the pain since I was sleeping. The pain is still persistant. Should I go to the ER? Could it be a blood clot or stroke? I'm only 25 and have had no serious problems.

i dont have a fever or an ear ache. my head hurts and i feel really dizzy at times... almost like my brain shrunk and is being shaken in the fluid in my head. ive been feeling like this for about a day and a half and as time passes it feels like its getting dramatically worse. i took tylenol, advil, and cold eeze but theyre not really helping.

Lately, I have been drinking so much water and it does not seem to help me with my thirst. I drink 12 bottles/day and nothing seems to help. Its as if the liquid goes right through me. I even try eating salty foods to try to retain the water, but that doesn't seem to help either. I have already checked with my doctor and it is not diabetes. Could there be something else wrong with me. Please help me. I am constantly EXTREMELY thirsty. I drink enough per day to quench America. What do I do?

I'm a diabetic I feel fine as I don't walk too much but after a couple of hours I'm in agonizing pain. Also I 've been flat footed all my life so now why? all of a sudden is it painful to walk?

I am a live in cargiver for a patient, the family does not help. I get 30 hours off a week, I do not have to pay rent, but I do not have a life either, I am praying and asking God if I should stay here? I am also afraid of what might happen to my lady if I leave. I can never sleep at night.. even when I'm tired. It's not that i dont want to go to sleep, i just cant at night untill about 3, 4, or 5 am... sometimes i only get 3 hours of sleep a night and i still stay up to these late hours the next night. I can lay in bed for hours without falling asleep. or sometims ill stare at a poster for hours and im so bored. then, the annoying thing is that once i do fall asleep, its extremly hard for me to wake up. I've asked people how i can make it easier to wake up at the times i need to and they say " go to bed earlier" but they dont understand that no matter what time i "go to bed" i dont actually fall asleep untill 3, 4 or 5 am. whats wrong with me? is there anything i can do?? sleeping pills dont work either i've tried them.. what can i do im tired of this...

For about the last week i have seem to be getting headaches none stop. they mostly happen in the evening. Today i went for a 30min walk/run, when i got home i was feeling good about and hour, hour and a half i started to get a very bad headache, like a bomb went off in my head. Im probley gonna go see my doctor if things still keep getting worse. Would anybody be able to tell me what could be wrong? and how sirious it is? also i have braces and im woundering if that maybe be causeing some problems?. Im gonna go see my dentist on thursday. If anyone can help that would be great thanks.

Okay so my mom starts complaining out of the middle of nowhere about the back of her head THROBBING outragesly..and its killing her...she complains: "The worst headache of my life"..I began getting nervous so i look up head pains in back of head frantically on the internet...she doesnt want to talk much but all i no is that she has throbbing head pains in back of head and she is nausiated ...I am only 14 and don't know what to do!!! She has taken pain pills already and it still hasn't helped!!!...She is crying so bad it hurts now!!! Someone PLEASE HELP me ..cause i have no idea what to do? Should I call the hospital or ambulance?..I have researched such things as brain anueryisms and she has some symptoms..im to the point where im helpless..please give me some advice cause i dont know what to do?

My fiance is addicted to pain pills. We have talked about getting her some help from a methadone clinic. I have researched methadone, and from what I am seeing, some people use methadone for pain relief, and some people have even gotten addicted to it. How is this helping a person who is trying to get off pain pills, if their taking something that they could also get addicted to?
