Snapple put a statement out on their bottle caps as fact. They said that humans cannot lick their elbow. Then some kid went on the Talk Show Circuit (Leno's Tonight Show, I believe) and proved that you could.
It's rare, but some people can indeed lick their elbow.

You could lick my elbow, we'd have to be fairly close to each other and I suppose have a degree of trust between us. Afterall if you just ate say peanut butter I'd want to trust that it wasn't going to end up on my elbow, otherwise I might need to go to the zoo with a degree of caution for fear the elephants would then be trying to lick MY elbow. :)

I saw the answer that said it IS possible, I am having a hard time visualizing that, I would have said it is impossible.
I cant even come close but then I am about as flexible as a 2 X 4

Some contortionist can. I can't, but I can touch my tongue to my nose and the bottom of my chin. That is as amazing as I get.
My dog can lick hers, but she can also lick her butt too.

Most people can't but if you have a double jointed shoulder or elbow you probably can. (or if you have a really long tongue)

I always thought that it was impossible.. one of those dumb things your teacher makes you do in school.. then I met my husband. and YES he can do it. Shocked the heck outta me - lol-

yes top answerer is right, best answer to her, some people can, they (brainiac, who said it was impossible) had loads of video's sent in to prove it. think it was one of tickles facts.
