sometimes i get a bad pain in either side of my chest or either side in my back. it feels like a very sharp pain and sometimes makes it hard to breathe because if i breathe in it hurts worse does anyone know why.

I have been getting waves of nausea throughout the days for the past week, but have not thrown up. I get this overwhelming wave of nausea and drowsiness but it goes away after a few minutes, only to return a few hours later. In between waves, I feel completely fine and have no problem eating. Does this sound like any kind of cold, virus, or stomach bug? Has anyone else experienced similar symptoms?

my schools been on strike for 2 weeks and one day . i wake up around 11 every morning go to sleep around 1 or 2. I pretty much am so tired all day that i just lay in bed. I couldnt even shop today! It freaked me out i just wanted to go home and be lazy. Buuut right about now im hyper as hell. It just seems like i try to do stuff during the day but im too tired, like as soon as i go out i want to go back in.

I have a BAD scrape on my knee and it hurts really bad. Last night I put a guaze pad on it and wrapped it up. Well this morning the gauze is stuck. I have a low tolerance for pain and it just hurts way to bad to try to take it off. What should I do?

I'm 14 and yesterday I was standing on a chair and I stepped off and I got severe pain in both of my feet.My right foot stopped hurting but today my left foot still hurts when I walk, stand, and run on it. I'm slightly limping but not enough to use crutches. I think I'm going to wrap it up for school tomorow though. My foot is also slightly swollen, tender and black and blue(bruised)not all over but in the middle of my foot where it is tender. My foot is also warm and pink and my anke is xswollen/round and hurts. this has happened before but the pain has always gone away like it did in the right foot. Should I be on crutches and should I wrap my foot. If I do should I put some kind of padding like a gauze pad underneath the bandage(ace bandage) to make it more comfy. If not can you reccomend a different padding if I should use it. also is it possable that my ankle is sprained and I am feeling the effects more in my foot from walking on it. and should I elevate it at school

I also have a 2 cm cut which was taken care of at ER.
For the 1st 7 days I didn't really have any headaches, but during the last couple of days an opposite part of my head is starting to hurt deep inside somewhere, and it's kinda moving towards the backside of the eye, and I'm just not sure why it happens and could it be related to the crash? I have a bit of amnesia related mostly to the short period of time before the crash - and I remember moment of the crash itself - and then I don't remember the period immediately after the crash. I don't think I lost consciousness at any point of time, I did feel a bit of sick periodically though but it's not like I was REALLY sick to vomit. I have trouble sleeping, sometimes I get really nervous (having in mind that I could have killed someone, God forbid, I guess that's normal), my appetite isn't really good, and primarily I want to know could these headaches be related to the head injury and in what way, since they started 10 AFTER the crash?

I was skateboarding and I sat on my skateboard and went down a ramp and slipped off the back so now I have a scar on my hand, a cluster of little scars on my hip, and on my knee some of my skin came off so now it's red. Well, this happened yesterday, Sunday, and my hand scar is on the knuckle of mf pinky, right hand, and it hurts. It looks like it's bleeding but it's not. It's a little swollen and around the red looks-like-bleeding part it's a greenish,brownish,yellowish color.


Is it infected? Explain infected please.

i work with the disabled, and today i was helping a client get something in his room, and i got a glob of something on my hands. i know what you are thinking - and no it isn't that. it had been there for a long long time and was still gobby. well like an idiot i scratched my eye a little later without thinking. it has been irritated since ( 5 hrs)

i flushed with water - what else can i do?

Ok, I been having these sharp pains on the left side of my chest since I was a kid. They stopped for a long time, then they start coming back to me.

Its like a sharp, intense pain that all of a sudden comes to the left side of my chest. I think it has something to do with my heart because if I breath in, the pain becomes more intense.
It would even lower a little bit on my left side.

Like right now, Im going through it. I cant breath in deep for right now. These usually last for a few minutes. It makes me feel like I cant move or the pain will come.

My mom told me before that its because Im breathing in to much oxygen, but I dont get it.

Whats up with this?

I am playing pick up soccer once or twice the week. In the last 3-4 months I felt a kind of stiffness in my right knee. At the beginning I felt only that my movement was not as usual and during the game I did not feel anything. In the last 3-4 weeks I feel during the night pain in my right knee which goes away during they day. I am not limited in what I am doing and when I rest my knee for a longer time it feels fine. But I recognized after playing soccer that the pain always comes back during the night for one or two days. Then it disappears .... Any ideas?

Of course I plan this week to get it checked!

I have an arched foot, and I tend to get a pain in the back of my heel while doing more strenous exercises. Heel cups don't work all that well, and I can't wear them while exercising. I keep my foot in an Ace bandage while I'm not moving around. What do you recommend, other than keeping my foot elevated?

I work with kids, and today at the park I hurt my back. I am not sure how, but I did. It hurts when I breathe, and when I walk up the stairs, or when I carry something, or sometimes even when I just walk. Should I go to the doctor, or just wait a few days?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I went to my Aunts house in the beginning of July 2007 and i stubbed my toe on her Thick table leg. Ever since then the slightest touch to that toe will cause me unbelievable pain. I had it X-rayed and its not broken but it hurts. When my cat brushes againest it, it hurts like Heck. Its the toe on my Right foot. The one next to the Big toe. I do research studies for a living and lately I have been having problems with my blood pressure. It's not high, high, but just outside of the range. 140/90 is the upper limits and I have been 143/80, but have also been high just on diastolic. I attribute this to the stress in my life and the fact I really need the money that the study pays! When I get the blood pressure test, I just get tense and nervous.

What can I do to relax and not think about the test?!!

Bear has constantly been getting up and started limping, but after walking on it for a few minutes, he's back to normal. Lately, he won't respond to his name, and is is too much pain to lay down. My dad refuses to take him to the vet cus suposedly "he's just fine". Does he have a serious problem that for sure needs to be taken care of by a professional?

I never seem to be in a deep sleep at night. It takes forever to fall asleep and I feel like Im only half asleep. I wake up over anything. Get up several times in the night. Some nights I can't get to sleep at all. Tossing and turning and restless. The next day I am so tired at work that all I want to do is go back to sleep. I tried an OTC sleep aid and it worked one night, the best night of sleep i've ever had, and hasn't worked since then. Is there something wrong with me or something I can try.
I exercise, take vitamins, eat well, dont have caffine later in the day.

My oldest brother just had hip replacement surgery & I was having a debate with my 2nd oldest brother on why there is so much of this surgery being done these days. I know there is the obvious injuries, but my personal opinion is if you are basing it on just general wear & tear I figured in that people who had very active sex lives would wear their hips out faster. But I would like to hear your reasons on why you think this is such a common surgery.
