I work with kids, and today at the park I hurt my back. I am not sure how, but I did. It hurts when I breathe, and when I walk up the stairs, or when I carry something, or sometimes even when I just walk. Should I go to the doctor, or just wait a few days?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

lay down on your tummy with a pillow under the area that hurts, put an ice pack on your back, remain that way for thirty minutes, do it every two hours for twenty four hours, if that doen't resolve the issue, time to see a doctor.

Sounds like a back strain - pulled muscle. Take some ibuprofen if not contraindicated. You can use ice for the first 36 hours. Do not put pressure on your back for a few days or use a good brace and you should heal without a problem. If it gets worse or you have any pain or numbness going down the leg(s), see a Doctor.

You can do many things to a back. You may want to try Icy Hot. They have the creme or the back patch. J&J makes a product called a back plaster, apply to your lower back and leave on. Wear a back brace when lifting, Ibuprofen for the pain and a heat compress. Do not put the heat compress on if you are using a cream. Take a nice hot shower and the put heat on it for no more than 20 minutes. Feel Better......

You should go to the doctor soon. Because I know this. My friend, she got her finger swollen and now its there all her lifetime. Or she has to do surgery. So you should go see it.
