They can make you feel good but if you are on steroids and get off them you will feel depressed and in some extreme situations some people will become suicidal. Then there are muscle receptors that respond to 'tailored' steroids; e.g. Terry Bonds. There are also naturally circulating ant-inflammatory corticosteroid's; e.g. hydro cortisone cream. They regulate on/off fight against infective organism's.
