I know many things about losing weight since my wife is a nurse, what I don't know, is how to control my appetite when I am getting STEROIDS BY THE MEGA DOSE TO CONTROL SEVER PAIN! If anyone has had any experience in this area, and successfully lost weight please reply.

Why Steroids? Many other drugs will assist Fibro the last resort should be steroids because of the side effects. To my knowledge steroids increase the appetite one of the side effects so as long as you take them in MEGA doses, you will pile the weight on.

My mom has taken steriods for her health issues for many years. STOP TAKING THEM!!! There are many good things out there for you to help with Fibromyaglia and the pain. Even doing simple yoga is helpful for pain reduction. Also if you can try walking down the driveway or however far you can each day. When eating put veggies in your diet very highly. This will curb your hunger and do it so your not gaining weight. Something I do (I am loosing weight and have Fibro also) is have a bunch of raw veggies cut up and eat them throughout the day also pretzels. A good web-site is www.fibromyalgiajournal.org.

So what is the MEGA DOSE that you are talking about? And what is the steroids itself?
