I have been getting waves of nausea throughout the days for the past week, but have not thrown up. I get this overwhelming wave of nausea and drowsiness but it goes away after a few minutes, only to return a few hours later. In between waves, I feel completely fine and have no problem eating. Does this sound like any kind of cold, virus, or stomach bug? Has anyone else experienced similar symptoms?

Could be several things. Are you eating well? Plenty of veggies and salad to help keep things moving in the poop end? Are you pregnant? Is it time for your period? Are you on the pill? The pill can cause nausea also. If you are a guy see only the top part.

I can't tell from your profile if you're a guy or a girl. If you're a guy, I have no insight. If you're a girl, you might be pregnant.
