About a year ago,i started experiencing pain in my right elbow.i have worked out for years,so I thought it may have been a strain,or even "tennis elbow" or something along those lines.I stopped lifting for awhile, but after a month or two,the pain appeared in my left elbow as well.About 6 months ago,the pain spread to my shoulders and chest/collarbone area.Any kind of pushing motion brings excruciating pain in the chest/shoulder area.My elbows don't hurt to bend,or to lift things, but when extended,or when carrying things they ache bad.about a week ago the back of my right hand went numb, and hasn't gotten better.I wake up several times a night and whatever side I'm on is asleep or in pain. I'm tired ALL the time,no matter how much rest I get.I have seen my physician, she ran a full blood test and after nothing was found, referred me to a rhuematiod arthritis specialist, whom I will see in a week-but all the research I've done doesn't seem to match the symptoms of arthritis.Any ideas?

I work about 75 hrs a week, and try to have a life in between. I normally get 5hrs of sleep every night. Besides fatigue and drowsiness, which I have now, what harmful side-effects, so to speak, are caused by not getting enough rest/sleep?

On my lower right eye, where the lashes are, I have had these small twitches/ spasms on and off for over a month now. I first thought it was caused by stress, but it hasn't gone away. Is there a nerve problem? What is going on? Is there something I can take to make my eye relax?

So I'm a nanny (aka carrying a lot of kids) and recently I had some pretty bad lower back pain however no immediate trauma that may have caused this. This dull ache has been going on for at least a month probably more. I decided to see a chirpractor. He was such a nice guy, took time to go over what was bothering me and did some diagnosis. He performed a spinal analysis machine and discovered my right side carries 12 pounds more than my left which made total sense to me. Also using another handheld machine and handheld diagnosis that my neck had a lot of tension and that could be pinching my nerve and causing my headaches. The cost was only $35 dollars and I have another appoitment to go over costs, plan of action, etc. However, when I called my mom she was like oh that's bull***t he just wants money, they're quacks and doesn't want to file to insurance. I believe in this however I'm in college, not financially set. Are they really quacks, can I even afford this, is it worth it

I got stitches yesterday and I was not supposed to change the bandage or get it wet for 3 days. Basically, I was supposed to leave it completely untouched, but today in the shower my home-made saran wrap and tape gor loose in the shower and the bandage was soaked! I took it off as soon as I found a larege bandage to change it with.

I called my doctor but the office is now closed for the entire weekend and I don't know who to ask. Does anyone know if I did the right thing and if I will be okay?

I'm having some chest and neck pain and just got checked out by my doc who found no cardiac or respiratory problems and ruled out stress/anxiety so he strongly feels it's muscular/skeletal. I'm also having headaches that start in my neck. He recommended seeing a chiropractor but I have no idea how to start looking. What criteria do I use in choosing one? What are good questions to ask? Thanks!!

I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was in middle school. I am 21 now. The curve of my spine is about 23-25 degrees. This past week I have been having shooting pain up my back. This went on for about 30 minutes and only went away when i laid perfectly flat. Since then my whole back (mostly mid back from my ribs to shoulder blades) have been hurting. I get the shooting pain every once and a while. My right leg is also a little numb. Could anyone tell me what this could be? I have an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon on Monday.

Thank you!!

I am so curious about it, and I am also kind of scared because I have heard people say that it hurts. I could use some information or anything from people who have had or given physical therapy if you are a doctor. Thanks. :)

In January of this year I had surgery where the doctor had to cut through my abdominal muscles (laporoscopy) due to endometriosis and he had to do a lot of scraping of the tissue inside. Well, the swelling was really, really bad for about 5 weeks (looking like I was pregnant!). Well, the swelling has been down for almost a month, and when I went to the gym and did some crunches, I'm all swollen again, and I think I irritated the muscles! How long should someone wait to do abdominal workouts?
