You can take Advil pretty much daily. It wont bother you. The only thing you have to worry about is what they call "rebound pain" That is where you take advil for several days, and it makes the pain go away, then you stop taking it and sometimes your pain can come back worse. Just take the signals from your body, it will tell you what to do.

Talk to your doc and never exceed the direction on the bottle. Advil can make your stomach bleed, so make sure you don't take it on an empty stomach. I don't even know if eating will prevent the bleeding if you take it for a prolonged period of time. However, a total of 4 Advil a week doesn't seem like it would cause a problem, but I'm not a doc--4 a day every day for 2 months might be problematic in my opinion.

That really isn't a lot but if you feel you need more, you should visit your doctor. There may be something wrong with your back that needs to be looked into... I personally don't take Advil because even a small dose wrecks my stomach. I take Tylenol or the prescription pain meds I have needed on and off for 14 years for chronic back pain and sciatica.

No, it's not "unhealthy". What is unhealthy is not dealing with the pain. Pain can elevate your blood pressure, your glucose levels, and everything else in your body. If Advil helps you, take it until you don't need it any longer. Perhaps you should see a doc about the pain or get some physical therapy.

That is a very safe amount of advil. I assume you mean over the counter strength. You can take it up to 4 times a day if needed and you can ask your doc about taking a prescritption strength dose too.
