I smashed my thumb a few weeks ago and boy did it HURT! Turned greenish blue at first. Now it's really black under the nail. Thank god it does'nt hurt anymore but looks real bad!

I have a terrible headache that has lasted for the past 5 days I have taken a hot bath, slept in all day, taken Excedrin, Ibprofen, and even some pain medication. NOTHING IS WORKING.
I am only 21 years old. I am not stressed out but this headache is making me stressed out. I seriously can't take this anymore. Lastnite my head hurt some bad that I started vommiting. Please give me some advice.

Well, it all started out 3 years ago when me and my brother were jumping off of swings. Yeah I know pretty dumb. But I did it and landed on the side of my foot and colapsed. Well, I couldn't walk on it for like... a week. In total it hurt for 1 year. I was in a different country and/or contenent and didn't go to the doctor. Pretty dumb also. Well, after that it hurt whenever I just hurt it alittle it would hurt a lot. I'm going to the doctor but I have 2 wait for my mom to get back from a trip. What does it sound like 2 u? do u think the doctor will splint it? Phisical tharapy? Surgery?

Also what can I do right now 2 stabalize it till she comes back? I have a brace thing and ace wrap should I use that? I can see now that rest wont help because this injury was 3 years ago....

Following surgery yesterday (hysteroscopy, D&C, endometrial ablation), I was prescribed Percocet.. It works well for pain but I get very nauseous and lightheaded. I also take Prozac 20 mg and levothyrox 175 mcg. I've read about drug interactions online and both are mentioned in drug side affects but no good explanation is given. Is Percocet contraindicated for patient's with hypothyroidism? And is using Prozac simutaneously with Percocet dangerous? Thanks, in advance for your time.

I just had two ingrown toenails removed one on the inside of my big toe on the right and one on the left toe. I just woke up and it is throbbing and hurts A LOT ! I took 4 advil an hour and a half ago and it hasn't touched the pain. I have a two month old and am wondering if it is going to be hurting me like this all day! HELP!! OUCH!! ALso, I am scared to take the bandage off and see what it looks like.

Last week i twisted My ankle during soccer practice, it was hurting so much the whole week, so I did so compressions on it and massaged it.
This is the second week, and I can sprint and Jump and Run but I cant Bend My right foot. Everytime i kick the ball or take a long shot my right foot bends and it hurts so much!
what should I do?

i had surgery about 10 days ago to remove a cyst from my nose and my doctor cut up past my hairline so the scarring wouldn't be noticeable. he used dissolving stitches (the incision goes from one ear, over my head to the other ear) and i forgot to ask him when i was at my post-op earlier this week how long they will be there.
does anyone know about how long until they dissolve?

I seperated two ribs from my spin about a year and half ago, and still pretty much have the same pain now as i did when i first did it. will this every heal? if anybody has experenced this prolonged problem please give any fead back that might be benificial to my question. or if anybody has any info it would be greatly apprecieated!

this morning i smoked 4 cigarettes and got my usual "buzz" (i have a very low tobacco tolerance) where i was sort of dizzy and sluggish. but then i got really nauseated and threw up some, and i noticed what looked like thin little pieces of dark brownish/maroon tisse, complete with veins. the only thing i can think of is lung tissue - is it possible for someone to actually vomit up pieces of their lungs? i tried to look it up but i can't find anything.

I swear I have tried it all...meditation, warm milk, ambien, tylenol pm, no work in bed, waking up early (I get up naturally around 8-9am, but try to wake up by 6am- 7am), counting sheep (surprisingly the most effective), reading, watching tv. My sleeplessness is a big problem because I am always tired, plus my husband hates me having the tv on when he is trying to sleep
-->leads to him yelling at me. For as long as I can remember I have had trouble sleeping. Even when I do fall asleep, I wake up 3-4 times a night. I have had a physical and seem to be healthy overall. Any other ideas?
