GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND GET TO THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW! A headache that lasts that long is not good. And the meds you are taking can have the opposite effect of what you're trying to do.
Make sure that the house or building you're in does not have carbon monoxide backing up into it. If there is snow where you are, make sure that the exhaust to the furnace is not blocked. A headache is the first indication that there may be a problem. And if you've been in the house this whole time, that could be the problem! And it's DANGEROUS! If you suspect that is the problem, GET OUT and call the fire department.
If that's not the problem, while you're waiting to be seen at the hospital, try doing some gentle stretching of your neck, back and shoulders. Also, make sure you are well hydrated. A headache can be the first sign of dehydration. If you're feeling sick to your stomach, drink gingerale or something that makes you feel better.
I've been there sister......get to the doctor and get something that really works! Then, when the pain is gone figure out what caused it.

Go need to see a doctor. Any headache that lasts 5 days should be checked out, especially if you can't get relief from the typical over-the-counter treatments. It sounds possibly like a migraine and a doctor can prescribe medication that can help get it under control.

Any chance you're dehydrated? Get PLENTY of water (no soda or juice). Try 100 oz spread out over the course of the day while you still have your headache, and then if you want, you can reduce to 60-80 ounces once it's gone.
If your headache is still not gone by the end of the weekend, you really should see a doctor to get evaluated.

There is a good chance that you could be dehydrated. A common cause for headaches is from not drinking enough water. You must stay hydrated. So go get yourself a big glass of H2O and drink it. I bet you will feel 100% better! Also there is a pressure point on your hand that helps relieve headaches. Take your pointer finger and thumb, and press the area on your opposite hand between your knuckle of your thumb and pointer. If you make the letter L with your fingers, it is the flesh area between your knuckles. You will feel a pressure point . It does hurt a little, but Just apply pressure for about 60 seconds and see if that helps. But don't forget to drink your water first! Good Luck!

If you take too much pain medicine you can have rebound headache. I would go to the ER they will give you a shot and you can go home and sleep. Make sure you have a driver though.

Run, don't walk..
Get a medical opinion about this immediately. There are all kinds of things that are absolutely harmless that it could be, but there are some that can be serious.
It could be a flu virus. It could be migraine. But....
This is a red flag.
Get an opinion.
Better safe than sorry.

Absent of any trauma, such as a blow to the head, you might have a sinus infection, migraine or even a stroke. Based on your age, strome or aneurism is unlike, as is a tumor.
I get migraines, often that last for five or more days. One piece of advice: stop taking the medicine you've been using, as they can cause rebound headache.
I would seek medical treatment right away. If you can't reach your doctor, go to a walk-in clinic or emergency room. Headaches can be treated with medication, but you have to know what is causing the headache so that the medication is prescribed.
For migraines, you might need a 'triptan' such as imitrex, maxalt amerge, etc. These can help, but if the headache is five days old, they might not work at this point. You might need treatment with a narcotic, which they administer in an emergency room.
Migraines have othe effect aside from the head pain. These include pain on one side of the head, often pulsing or throbbing. Nausea, light sensitivity, visual distrubances and fatigue are very common.
Obviously, nobody can diagnose you without a physical exam. A CAT scan is usually performed to rule out sinusitis, tumor, aneurism and bleeding.
Again, you need to seek treatment right away to get this under control. If you can break the pain and get some rest, you will feel much better.

as my mother would say..."i have heard it all"
go to a doctor and tell him your symptoms...if nothing is wrong why are you having a headache for five days? gee i don't know maybe since you have so much insight you could be your own best ad visor..??you think??what would you do if a loved one had the same symptoms..?? better not have any children as they would be in store for a whole lot of trouble if they ever got sick.
Common sense is not common...but what do I know?

5 days...mmm. Better to have seen a doctor....although 5 days..? 80 % of patient seen in the ED are more or less dehydrated. Are you dehydrated? Drink lots of water and breath deeply, relax...take vitamin C and celery juice two ounces. I do not think it is seriously but see a doctor just to make sure and give your self peace of mind.
