well i have decided to quit smoking cold turkey, and i am nervous.

i would like to know if you every quit or know someone who quit cold turky, what are some of the methods that worked for them, and if they were successfull?

i have made the first desion in regards to having my mind set and wanting to do this, i know in my heart i have to do this, i have always enjoyed smoking. and i never wanted to give it up, but something inside me is saying now is the time and i always listen to my intuition.. i know it wont be easy, please don't tell me to pray as i do not pray..also i really don't exercise also, and i know that probally best, but i am looking for other ways.

i do not want to use any nicorette or pills to quit, although i know people it has worked for, i just perfer not to


for those who are trying to quit and want to follow my progress i will be writting in my blog on yahoo 360 all about it

no matter how careful I am, I would definitely bump into something once everyday.
I have bruises all over my body because of it.
It kind of gets annoying.
I've been like this ever since I was a kid. Back then I used to fall in the stairs, bruising my leg, all the time. I broke my nose twice falling in the stairs.
I broke my forehead once falling in the stairs.
I closed the door once on my hand playing hide and seek with my brother and got stitches on all the fingers.
I even ran into a chandelier once and broke my forehead again!
Today I was closing the car door and the sharp bottom end of it caught on my leg and my jeans were torn.

I woke up and my ear was killing me everytime I swallowed. I took some tylenol and it eventually went away. It came back about 2 hours later. The weird thing is it does not feel like a soar throat, nor do I have any cold symptoms. I feel fine except when I swallow a pain happens near the back of my ear and under the jaw. I can tell my glands are swollen too. Some people have been telling me it's either an ear infection or strep throat. I have no idea what is going on I've never felt this way before. Any help is appreciated.

My sister was diagnosed with a cyst on her knee cap. The Doctor has given her anti-inflamatory to try to get rid of it. If that dosen't work, she's looking at a cortazone injection. I have never heard of someone having a cyst on the knee. Any feedback? Her sysmtons are swelling, pain and much discomfort....

My legs ache for no reason.. usually when I've been up and then sit for a long time .. they just ache alot and I can't get them to stop no matter what even when I lay down or go to sleep. I have heart burn for more than 6 years, if I take medicine it reliefs a bit and if i dont take medicine again it starts burning and food coming to my throat.

I knew that would catch your attension..............Well, it all started out 3 years ago when me and my brother were jumping off of swings. Yeah I know pretty dumb. But I did it and landed on the side of my foot and colapsed. Well, I couldn't walk on it for like... a week. In total it hurt for 1 year. I was in a different country and/or contenent and didn't go to the doctor. Pretty dumb also. Well, after that it hurt whenever I just hurt it alittle it would hurt a lot. I'm going to the doctor but I have 2 wait for my mom to get back from a trip. What does it sound like 2 u? do u think the doctor will splint it? Phisical tharapy? Surgery?

Also what can I do right now 2 stabalize it till she comes back? I have a brace thing and ace wrap should I use that? I can see now that rest wont help because this injury was 3 years ago....

Hi, I twisted my ankle on Feburary 8, 2007 by playing basketball And it gotten swollen. I able to walk now it doesent pains even the swollen is going away and i am using ICE vicks and eating Tynolol Extra strength. Even i am using the technique of R.I.C.E. So i just wanted to know that is my ankle would be fine and now i am able to walk and it just pains little. So can you please tell me that is this an serious injury? do i need to go talk with an doctor?

I have a rotator cuff injury - not drastic, but it's keeping me from training martial arts as strenuously as I would like. Chiroractic treatment has helped a lot, but still there is some popping in my shoulder joint, and I am considering checking into prolotherapy. Anyone have positive or negative results from prolotherapy - especially for shoulder pain? Thanks for any information.

My friend peirced my cartilage last June, and it developed a bump by it. I found out that it's because my body's trying to reject the peircing, and I've tried to keep it clean and what not, but it won't go away. I've tried to pop it, thinking there'd be puss or something causing it to stay there, but it's only blood? Have any ideas?
