Your ulnar nerve gives sensation to to half of your ring finger and the pinkie finger. Odd sensations are usually a result of repeated compression of this nerve, usually where it is most exposed at the elbow. It could also be tight forearm muscles surrounding the nerve or compression on the inner palm

It does sound like carpal tunnel. Does it get worse at night (like aches a lot more). Do you find yourself losing strength in that hand when doing things? Best for a week to keep a journal of all symptoms then go see your doctor. Sometimes antiinflamatories help.

do you sit at your desk with your elbow propped on your desk resting your chin in your hand????If you said yes it is a nerve in your elbow it will go away after a while I had the same thing happen to me

It would be Corpal tounal if the numbness went from the ring finger to your thumb I looked that up first

Sounds like a pinched nerve either in Neck or upper spine. See a Neurologist.

Could be broke, could be sprained, could be that something triggered a hidden disease. Fibromyalgia, Gulf War Syndrome, Reflex Sympathy Dystrophy, and many other diseases and syndrome's have those symptoms. Get checked. You may to to go to ten doctors to get a correct diagnosis.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can be one of many causes for this. It's certainly one of the most common, as is your hand falling asleep.

poor blood flow causes this and or carphil tunnel syndrome.
and the fact yer getting alil bit older these days
