Hi there! I would like to begin by letting you know that I am an emergency room nurse as well as a former gallbladder patient. I had to have mine removed when I was in my early twenties. I had only had a few attacks, when my eyes and skin turned yellow, and I was admitted for two weeks to the hospital. First thing is first, it can turn into a serious condition. If you notice a yellow discoloration to your skin, see your doctor immediately. If you have a stone lodged in the common bile duct, you could develop serious issues with you liver and pancreas.

To deal with the pain, unfortuntaely, the best thing to do is control your diet. The only cure it to have a gallbladder removal. Thankfully, if they can do it laproscopically, the surgery is very minimal. I felt wonderful only one hour after surgery, had my husband stop by Arby's on the way home! Getting back to diet control, eliminate as much fat as possible, stay away from spicy food, and don't eat anything fried, EVER! Milk fat is horrible for you, drink only skim. The skim milk from Braum's is great, and so is the Skim plus from Hiland, if you can find it where you are from. Other than that, you have to haul your bones to the er for an iv and some heavy duty pain killer! Your Doc can prescribe percocet for attacks, but if you are puking, that doesn't help too much.

God bless! I hope all works fine for you. Please remember, don't ignore signs of a serious problem, always follow up with your pcp if in doubt!

Not much u can do at home to ease the pain of a gb. attack. If very painful, go to the ER for pain medication, then have this matter taken care of as ur doctor has probably advised u to do, since u know u have a gallbladder problem.

Go top the emergency and get on Morphine. Then schedule a Gallbladder removal ASAP. You can die from complications if this isn't treated. I lived with Gallstone attacks for 2 years before it got so bad I had to handle it. I wish I would have dealt with it after the first attack.

You should try to avoid the attack by staying away from fats. Fatty foods will trigger an attack. When you do have the pain, most people end up going to the emergency room for an injection, as the pain is very severe.

Get your gallbladder out and then you don't have to worry about it. My wife took celebrex when hers flared up and it worked reasonably well for her until she could get hers removed.

Also, morphine is not a good choice for the pain as it cause the sphincter of oddi to contract (which is in the gallbladder duct) and will worsen the pain.

eat eco-friendly apples! eco-friendly scrumptious Apples all day long for 2-3 days! eat no longer the rest and in basic terms drink water, lots of water! The discomfort will subside besides the indisputable fact that that is going to take the time. Then for the subsequent 3-4 days slowly upload meals in, NO greasy and/or notably spiced meals!! Then once you're over this bout initiate taking apple cider vinegar (2 tsp) in 6-8 ozwater familiar! quit with the dairy products! quit with the pork (it takes a protracted time to digest) quit with the processed meals, quit with the sugar!

Don't eat foods with a lot of fat. Honestly sooner or later you will need to see a DR. Mine was diseased and other than removal nothing worked.

nothing, stop eating hot , spicy foods.. there are medications for this like Nexium, Protonix, you need to get them from the doctor.. You probably will end up getting surgery...I did and I feel so much better.. Tums and things like that will not work .. Don't drink coffee or pop, that will act it up for hours. Fried foods will hurt like heck..
