Of course I'm unable to see this with my own eyes but I can't tell from what you've posted what the wound actually looks like. Is it open? Is it scabbed over? Is the skin around it grayish-blue? Is it painful? Is it draining? Is there swelling? Based on the little you've given me to go on, I can only suggest you see your doctor for evaluation.

most likely an infection, unless it was an open wound then i don't know its not safe to take advice about something that could be "deadly" like this from people's opinion.

(not to be rude) but you weren't very descriptive, maybe you could tell us how you got the wound and how you have been treating it.

i would go to a Walgreen's & ask a pharmasist what they thought, then i would call your doctor to see if its somthing he/she needs to look at.

i would cleanse it with alcahol & take vitamins every day along with orange juice to strengthen your emmune system.

weather its an infection or not you still need to check in with a doctor, it could just be a bruise...or its just healing. keep it wraped up. so hurry and call your doctor.

you dont want your arm or whatever amputated over somthing like this :]

Probably infection! Gangrene is a type of skin infection. Go to a doctor ASAP! Blackening skin is a sign of dying skin...and it can spread very quickly.

if the wound is open put some baking soda with a little water (to make it a paste) on it, and it will draw out any infection.

It could also be just bruising from it healing itself.

If it is warm to the touch it is infected, be careful.

it dosen't want light or air. wrap it. gauze cloth and tape and don't bump it. feel it out. you will know if it has infection or if it isn't going to leave and in that case just emergency room it.
