Can excessive running of stairs begin to hurt the bone? I recently started running bleachers for football practice and a few days ago I started to feel a pain in my lower legs. I thought it might've been my calf muscles but yesterday I was touching my calf muscle trying to massage it when i realized it didn't hurt. So i ran my hands down a little and I touched there and it hurt really bad. Once I found this I could feel the pain running all the way through my tibia. I was wondering if there might be something wrong because the 5 other people I run with don't feel this pain. It also hurts really bad to run because of the impact, should I drink more milk or does it just need icing? lol Thanks in Advance

Well, i have a sever pain in my knee. I cant walk on it. SHould i get crutches for it to go away or should I just walk on it? It really hurts even if i sit still at times!

Anyone know of any good tips on keeping warm (for my Raynaud's) or for giving my aching joints, (especially my painful hands and feet) a bit of relief? I am 28. I don't sleep well at night because of my diseases, (I wake up constantly eventhough I can go back to sleep). Any one have good ideas? Thanks everybody! =)

I suffer from insomnia, i have a young son has anyone got any tips on how to beat this? I have been to see my GP who gave me a weeks worth of sleeping tablets to get me back into a routine but they didn't work. I lay awake in bed until about 5am and then I have to get up early with my son and I just cant deal with this anymore

I have tried getting up and occupying myself by doing different things but the tiredness is killing me

I'm a 53 yr old F. My Sed rate has been elevated and I was started on Prednisone 30 mgs which took my pains away. The RA Dr has me tapering off and I'm now taking 5mgs and with all the tests everything has been negative so far but my pain has returned.

My hubby has got a 2 inch crack(fracture ) in his left leg can anyone tell me what hospital procedure is following a fracture and how long roughly they take to heal.He is in plaster at the moment (since 18/01/2007) and is due to go back on Monday to the hospital.

When I woke up this morning I woke up with 8-11 brand new mosquito bites on my right leg. I knot only have bites there, but I have 7 bites on my left leg, 1 bite on my neck, 2 bites on my left arm, and 1 bite on my armpit! They're everywhere!!!!! They are in my room I tell you that. I put citronella candles with me in my sleep and wear pajamas to prevent the mosquitoes from climbing up my leg. It never works!!!! I am tired of waking up every morning with a new bite! What should I do to keep them away from me, besides bombing my room?

I use my computer a lot at home and iam constantly putting my elbows on my desk and 9 times out of 10 I manage to bang my funny bone,resulting in the tingling feeling in my left pinky.
I have banged my funny bone so many times I now my left pinky is perminantly tingling,but theres no pain and I only get the feeling in my little finger,no-where else.
Is this anything to worry about and what can I do to get rid of it.
Or should I go and see a doctor.

I have a white bump on my eyes, between the pupil and the inner tear duct. It's been there a long time and my whole family has them. I forgot what they're called. I'm pretty sure that it is not a sty. I've had them for at least 10 years. For some reason I'm thinking that it might be called a caterack or something, but I really don't remember. I heard they can be removed (scraped off) and I would like to have this procedure done -eek! Can anyone help me find the name of these things?

I recently severely bruised my right ankle & during recovery. I am not able to do any aerobics, cycling (stationary) or walking/running...which would put stress on this ankle for at least 2 weeks, per doctor's orders. I am still doing any other weight/resistance training I can that won't further injure myself. Serious suggestions appreciated...thanks!

my husband has now took her to a&e.im sat here worrying.shes been complaining of tummy pains now for 2 days,but all family has had a tummy bug over last couple of weeks and although we all not had pains (as such) we put it down to her havin bug like us but differant symptoms (we all had sickness and runs) we have been giving her calpol and ibuprofen.only tonight her pains have got much worse made her hot water bottle for her tummy and give pain killers.she has a constant pain in tummy but iwas feeling her tummy to see were hurt most and woz on left hand side near her hip bone.she has not yet started her periods but the pains dont seem that far down.any1 know what this might be i am going out of my mind .husband gona ring when she been seen bt who knows how long u can be waiting at a&e ex on a friday night.

Hey Everyone.

It's mid-day Friday here and I came down with the awful stomach flu late Tuesday night. We had been to a small party and had some Nachos and a cocktail (not good) and came home. Later about 1:30am I woke and knew I was sick. Vomiting and the rest till 6am and then slept all day.

Now it's Friday and I am feeling better, but not great. I want to make sure I eat foods that help me. Please let me know what you suggest (about 60 hours after the worst was over)

I thought I would ask if anyone knows why I'm getting round seethrou floaters in my eyes. It started about 2 weeks ago and I had one in my left eye. Whenever I looked in a different direction at a wall or a screen I would see it floating about. I know people get floaters normally but this is a perfect circle.

After a couple days it dissapeared and now I have one in my right eye. Its a dark circle with what looks like a little ring around it. I'm not talking big, just a smallish size, but its worrying me and I have not been able to see the optician yet as Im not in my home town atm.

I am not diabetic and have for the most part had good eye sight. I also do get little sparks in my eye sometimes, even if ive not looked at a bright light which is worrying me.

Im thankfull of any replys

Would using crutches help a bruise on your leg get better faster or would just doing normall things on it? I have had a bruise for eight weeks but my doctor didnt tell me to do anything but ice it before i go to bed. It hurts alot now because they kept poking it and pushing it yesterday. Would crutches just over the weekend make it better? And if so where do you get them?
