Would using crutches help a bruise on your leg get better faster or would just doing normall things on it? I have had a bruise for eight weeks but my doctor didnt tell me to do anything but ice it before i go to bed. It hurts alot now because they kept poking it and pushing it yesterday. Would crutches just over the weekend make it better? And if so where do you get them?

No. And you need to be using moist HEAT on the bruise, not ice. Ice is only for the first 24 hours. Heat and gentle massage will help to break up the the hematoma (that's what a bruise is--blood) and help it go away faster.

Using crutches would not help and more or less hinder healing at this point. You need to bear weight through the leg so that blood flow will perfuse into the area of the bruise and begin to break it up. Ice should help but you could also start massaging the area. Push the tissues upward toward your heart with mild pressure for 5 minutes/2 x a day and see if this helps. If not consult with a Physical Therapist. Hope this helps.
