pain in the back of my knee going all way up and down my leg across my lower back can't hardly walk after sitting long or walkig for 8 hours hurts really bad fells like a charlie horse in my thigh

Ive had pain that sounds like what you are describing. I was diagnosed with iliotibula band syndrome. I still use pain pills for it, but physical therapy to stretch the muscle helped a tremendous amount. I've had it since May 2006.
