About 2 years ago, I started smoking pot. Before then, I would get headaches every now and then. However, I have noticed that I no longer get headaches and attribute this to my marijuana usage. It's worth a shot at least. I would try it to see how it goes. It affects everybody differently. It may help to relieve the pain, but may as well amplify it.

If anything marijuana will make your headache worse. It does like cigarettes and messes with your sinuses. Go to a natural healing store and see if you can get some sort of herb to help you.

About Migravent
A recent clinical study published by the American Academy of Neurology [Neurology. 2004 Dec 28;63(12):2240-4]demonstrated that Migravent's active ingredient reduces the severity and the frequency of migraine attacks. In addition to this study there have been

I was diagnosed with severe migraines and went through several expensive meds. The one I found that worked the best as a preventative is Amitriptyline. I take it at bedtime, because if I ever stop taking it then start again, it makes me a little groggy until I get used to it again. I used to smoke pot too, but unless you get some medical grade pot, you'd get more stoned than pain-free.

I can honestly say that I have tried that before. It does help at times. On the other hand, it has also made my migraines worse. With any drug (legal or illegal) it has it's side effects and they may differ by person. Many prescribed pain medications make me ill. I have found that Advil works wonders, as simple as it sounds, I had migraines that Tylenol 3 with codeine couldn't even touch!!!!

Ask your doc. about Maltex RPD. No side effects and they work all the time. They are expensive though - but compared to missing a days work they are worth it. Also try putting an ice-pack on your head. If you're on the Pill - they are a major cause of migrains. Hope you feel better!

I have thought of that SAME exact thing. I get horrible migraines and I'm tired of taking all that blood thinning medicine that is probably harming me more than helping. I would talk to your doc. It's definitly something that he could do for you!!!

No marijuana is not gonna help your migraines!! Chocolate, Cheese and the sun are some of the factors that trigger migraines. there are no cures for migraines...try getting torodol from ur doctor...just back one pill in when ur about to have a migraine...works really well.

CONSULT WITH AN ACCUPUNCTUREIST - - THAT WAY YOU CAN BE RELIEVED OF YOUR PAIN W/O THE HAVING TO LIGHT-UP. ALSO THE LEGALITIES OF IT . WHEN YOU HAVE A MIGRAINE TRY PRESSURE POINTS ON YOUR NECK OR ON YOUR HEAD OR WHEREVER WITH A FINGER OR TWO. IF YOU FIND A SPOT WHERE IT RELIEVES THE PAIN THEN WALK WHILE YOU PRESS THIS SPOT . THEN TRY PRESSING ANOTHER SPOT. PAIN COMES FROM OTHER THAN WHERE YOU FEEL IT. EXPERIMENT WITH IT. DIET MAY AFFECT MIGRAINES. GOSH ! I WISH I KNEW EVERYTHING .

I seriously doubt that. There are really no cure for migranes, all you can really do is get medicine for the pain. Anyways marijuana usually causes pain EVERYWHERE not only on your head.

because they want to keep society and the economy going like it is. that wont happen if its legalized. people will realise that life isnt about living like this and they'll make something better. but living in a society works so efficiently. only, it doesnt always make people happy and there are problems, but they pay into someone elses advantage. whatever, the more snobby people around, the more weed left for us :)
