Yeah...go see the doc. Could be nothing. But then again, it may not actually be a result of the funny bone. Numbness is also indicative of nerve damage or poor blood circulation. I wouldn't personally chance it. Hope it gets better.

You should probably get this checked out so you can get some professional advice on how to take care of it. It may be tendonitis in your elbow, which is compressing the nerve that runs into your finger. Or it may be carpal tunnel syndrome from all the typing you do. It's hard to say just based on what you describe.
When you type, try to keep your elbows OFF your desk, as that's a really bad position for your entire upper body! See a doctor to get this checked out, and after that, if you can, it might be worth talking to a physical or occupational therapist to get some advice on how to sit properly at your desk while working on the computer. Trust me, repetitive stress injuries are really awful and not worth monkeying around with!

You should see a doctor right away, the nerve that controls your pinky and ring finger is the ulnar nerve located in the cubital tunnel (the tunnel in your elbow that you keep banging aka the "funny bone"). If you let this persist the nerve could become compressed causing your hand to claw and surgery will be needed. This is known as cubital tunnel syndrome.

You answered your own question. YES, go see a doctor, probably an orthopedic (bone specialist). There can be other causes like problems in the shoulder or neck, not associated with injuring the "funny bone."
Your body has to last a lifetime so spend the money and do it right the first time

Been there-know that.
You must take the pressure off your arm, from the elbow to the hand. You are pressing on nerves and that is causing the problem.
A friend had a chair that she sat in all the time. She would constantly rest her elbow on the wide wooden arm of the chair. She lost the feeling in her fingers. She got rid of the chair and then she also got rid of the problem.

If I were you, I would see the doctor. It could have damaged something in your arm, but then again it could just be temporary. Have your doctor look at it, and ask him what he thinks. that is wath they wre there for. and murder whatever dude that answered, you're giving bad advice.

You should see a doctor just to be sure that you don't have any permanent damage to your nerves.
