ask you mum to leave the hall light on for a while till you fall asleep. that is what my mom did for younger sister.
then get a favorite toy and cuddle, and she will keep you safe all night.

I'm not sure what you're scared of, but you're Mom is doing the
right thing because you're a big girl now, and whats you to act like one. Take a nite-lite to bed, leave the door open, and if it gets
too bad for you ask for a sleep over with a friend and enjoy the
night, seeing how comfortable you are. You're Mom jusdt doden't
want anything more than you to be an independant women!
Show her you can be strong!!!

Hello.
I used to sometimes jump to get into my bed just in case something tries to grab me.
I used to leave a light on for my children because they get scared too.
But now?
I caught the bogeyman under my bed and got the secret out of him on how to keep him away!!!
Don't tell anyone else this because it's meant to be a secret.
If you give your mum a big hug and a little kiss before you go to your bedroom, the bogeyman and ALL the other scaries CAN'T get into the house!
Try it. Before you go into your room give your mum a BIG hug and a LITTLE kiss - then get your mum to help you to look under the bed.
See?
Nothing there!
The best thing is, that nothing gets in at all after a week of this.
No more scaries at all, ever, in your house!
Sometimes your mind thinks there is something there when your asleep ,BUT, all you do is call the Firecat into your dream and he burns all the bad things away!
That's why I'm called Firecat_mage, because he is my hero. I'm sure he'll help you as well, he's very kind!
In fact I'll tell him to watch out for you and keep you safe and sound!
Have lovely dreams! And don't forget the BIG hug and LITTLE kiss.
Don't forget to stroke Firecat when he's finished with you (scratch behind his ears, he loves that!)
:~}

Leave a light on in the hall, or put a radio on a timer switch, so you can drop off to that. Your mum is still in the house, so you're not alone.

I remember when i was about 14-15 i also used to get scared to go to bed, i used to pull the covers tightly around my head for security. I used to shout goodnight mom every few minutes just for reassurance. You need to talk to your mom about this but not just before you go to bed, do it in the morning, tell her how you feel and make her reallize how scared you are and she might listen more. When you go to bed, try to think about all things good and happy, nothings going to hurt you it's just your own insecurities, you'll be ok. x

For there to be something to harm you there would have to be PLUS something - but in actual fact - there is MINUS something; LIGHT - that is the only difference. Everything else is still the same, but minus light...perfect for falling asleep. Night night...
Your Mom says no because she knows there is nothing there to harm you - Mom's wouldn't let ANYTHING harm their children, so, if your mom says no - it's because she KNOWS you are safe. Night night...
