Last night I hurt my back at work, I did an incident report and they sent me to the ER. The Dr barely examend me and said I have a pulled muscle, I should be on light duty for a week. Well I did my "light duty" today and now my back hurts more than yesterday.
What should I do? go see my own Dr or have my work send me back to the ER?.. that is the only place they will send me. I want to do it the right way incase I end up needing workers comp.

This was for my wisdom teeth removal on friday, along with ibuprofen and tylenol #3. Although, I didn't know about the oxycodone until a few minutes ago. I found the empty bottle in my mothers room, with my name on it, dated on the same day as my extraction, and had contained 24 pills. I already know that my mother is an addict to other things, but I wouldnt expect she'd take MY prescriptions when I needed them the most. I've been going through hell these past few days as I have dry socket, and she didn't say ANYTHING. someone please help me before i snap

Does it work? I've been having some back and neck pain, and someone suggested I go see one, but I am not sure if it would help. Any opinions would be helpful!

Because I am suffering from severe osteo arthritis necrosis. I am taking Vicodin es 750 4 times a day and it is not helping with the pain. My doctor had mentioned ms contins and I tried to do some research and found that there is a oxy contin. I need bilateral total hip replacements, my cartilage is completely gone and my hip bones have collapsed.

I fell over three days ago. I hit my bottom and my elbow. There is a bruise on my right butt cheek. There has been improvement - the sore muscles are less sore. I can walk regularly, I can sit almost comfortably. I can swivel my hips, and move normally, only general soreness. My stomach muscles were sore but are getting better.

The problem is that when I bend over to touch the floor, there is a radiating pain in my pelvis. I isolated it further while doing some light stretching. If I tuck my right leg behind me, extend my left, and reach to touch my left toes, I'm fine. If I do the opposite, there is that radiating pain again.

I will be going to the doctor, but does anyone have a thought as to what might be going on?

It always seems that even if cost goes down they come right back. My example is gas cost. Most products go down in price after a while. Health services were offered in free clinics. The cost is getting so out of line it is easy to look at the new plans and hope for better service and cost. What do you think?

For the last 2 nights, every time i start to doze off, I will have a panic attack, where It feels like someone is pinching the middle of my chest and I jerk awake. I don't even open my eyes or gasp for air so it's not sleep apnea causing it per se. This happens repeatedly over and over, and I am not gaining any sleep. I have short mini dreams right before the attacks and almost think I will doze off, then bam, I jerk awake with a panic attack feeling in my chest. I took blood pressure and pulse immediately after. Pulse was a little high, blood pressure was normal.
This usually happens when I'm overtired, or extremely worried/worked up over personal or life problems. I even tried taking a whole 10mg ambien, and although mellowing and spacing me out nicely, It didn't get me any sleep. Do I need an anxiety drug? Any over the counter stuff that might work as well as ambien but for anxiety/panic?
This is really freaking me out, and making it even harder to calm down enough to sleep.

Trade tips and experiences dealing with care for elderly, and, or, infirm. I take a team approach for my 92 year old Mom's care. So far it's working, with me as team captain, but some times I feel I'm over my head and barely treading water. I would love to have some tips, or even good stories. A good practical site would be appreciated as well.

last week my manicurist cut my nail bed. (yes, she's fired) i cleaned the cut with betadine and put a band aid with an antibiotic ointment on it. it is still very painful, and now my finger tip is slightly swollen, red with a little bit of pus. (gross i know) i'm worried about an infection and/or blood poisoning. what are the symptoms of blood poisoning, and has anyone had a similar cut or injury? and when should i be worried? i hate going to the doctor!

I have some Tylenol 3 that my dentist gave me a few weeks ago for wisdom tooth pain. I never took it. Right now I am having unbearable menstrual cramps and I have taken midol (earlier in the day) and drank raspberry leaf tea. Nothing has helped. Would it be all right to take 1 tablet of Tylenol 3? It is labeled as acetominophen with codeine.

Please advise soon! :(

I recently got the top (cartilage) of my ear pierced, and I bumped it hard in my sleep last night, it hurt so bad it woke me up, but I managed to fall back asleep. I woke up this morning, and it was swollen - bad! And it still is. I know it's not infected, it's just bruised and badly swelled. What is the best way to get rid of the swelling? Do I just let it go away on it's own, or do I apply ice, I dunno!! Just help me if you can...Thanks a lot!
