Hi,

Calcium deficiency. Take Calcium supplements (1,000 milligrams daily)along with Magnesium (500 to 600 milligrams daily) and in about a week, your muscle spasms will cease to exist.

Primary cause is Calcium deficiency in the body.

Several causes, the most common being overworked muscles, lack of iron and potassium. Try doing some stretches slowly everyday before getting into whatever position gave you the charley horse.

A charlie horse is caused by a lack of potssium and/or an over worked muscle. When muscles are over worked they expand and contract. A charlie horse happens when the muscle gets stuck on contract. Supplement your diet with bannanas (a great sourse of potassium) or a good multi-vitamin. When you do get a charlie horse, massage the muscle and think of a happy place. It should pass in a few minutes. Hope this helps.

basically a charley horse is a muscle cramp in your leg (generally the quad or hamstring). it is usually caused by straining the muscle or an injury.
not stretching properly prior to exercise, exercising in heat, muscle fatigue and/or an imbalance of electrolytes can cause muscle cramps.

It can be the result of sore muscles, a mineral deficiency or hormonal imbalance or even a process known as calcification, in which blood gets trapped in a muscle and hardens.

Dehydration and lack of minerals. Get a product called Emergin C... It's cheap and it works. It comes in little packets at your regular store and it fizzes when added to water. Drink it down and wallah, cramps be gone.
