i just got hired at a local hospital and they said i have to do an occupational health check and that i would have to do back excercises for a drug screen and to dress comfortabely..Just what the heck are these back excercises im gonna b doing?? uncomfortable to walk but i can bend but when i walk it almost feels as if my legs are not in the right place is this serious or is it just bruising and muscle its the lower of my back and is swollen and slightly grazed thanx any help i would be greatfull lolx

I ran into a large wooden chest/box in my apartment, and hit my shin really hard. I hit it so hard, that I buckled over and nearly blacked out from the pain (I compare it to being it with a baseball bat in the shin ... although that has never happened to me). I got up soon after, and could walk fine (even though it still hurt). I iced it for awhile. I soon noticed that I had a bump where I hit my shin, right below my knee. The bump has been there for over a week, and the bump is as hard as a bone (so it's not just swelling). Although the pain is gone, the bump is still there, and as big as it was when it first happened. What is it? Will it go away? Am I stuck with it? Is it a "bone bruise" (what is that anyway)? Let me know, please. Thanks.

I am allergic to the Pertussis vaccine, as we found out when the vaccination almost killed me as a baby. So every few years I get a rellapse even though everyone else I know is immune. Whooping cough is....really unpleasant to say the least. It's actually quite a horrible disease which can be fatal. I've had it 3 times. I heard that it's quite rare to get the disease now a days, so I'm just wondering if anyone else out there is allergic to the vaccine too or if you know any real statistics. PS I already checked wikipedia.

okay im feeling very weak and my throat is burning and i cant drink or eat anything because it really hurts to swallow anything.
could it be strep throat? my tonsils are very swollen and red and it hurts sooo much and i dont know what to do.
we cant afford a doctor this moment but if anyone has any suggestions on how to stop the pain it would be really helpful right now.
