I woke up and it feels as though my hip is out of socket. I didn't fall or do anything weird yesterday. I have a field study for one of my classes today that involves a lot of hiking and strenous activity. Any suggestions? I can barely put any weight on my left leg.

If its really serious, it could be a herniated disc and you should see a doctor for meds and therapy. If its just a strain on you back from sleeping, I have a great back exercise that should help. Stand up against a flat wall with your legs out about a foot from the wall and slightly apart, now bend your knees until you are in a sitting position and hold for few seconds. Do this several times and it should relieve the pressure in your back. and if your like me, weak in the legs, it great for the front of your thighs. Hope it helps.

I think it's a pinched nerve &/or lower back out of adjustment

I wouldnt go, it may make it worse. You may have slept wrong, or youve been sleeping wrong. Try another position, make yourself.
