i just got hired at a local hospital and they said i have to do an occupational health check and that i would have to do back excercises for a drug screen and to dress comfortabely..Just what the heck are these back excercises im gonna b doing?? If u have done something like this b4 please let me know k?? Cuz i got one answer on my other question and if i have to go through that then forget this job!!

they probably meant back exercises AND a drug screen. there are some place that like to make sure that your back is strong enough to do required lifting and the drug test is standard.

I think you may have misunderstood the statement. A pre-employment medical exam is normal, as is a drug screening, such as a urine sample. Depending on your job duties, I would not question a test to assess your lumbar strength and flexibility.

But if you did not understand what "back exercises for a drug screen" meant, why didn't you inquire at the time?
