I had a possible exposure to HIV 11 weeks ago this thursday. I had a test at 9 weeks and 3 days which came up negative. Obviously I will be having another test at the 12 week mark but just wondered about the following.
At 8 weeks I had acute tonsilitis. If this was a sign of HIV infection and seroconversion would this mean that my body would be making antibodies and that the test at 9.5 weeks should have picked it up. In other words can i assume that the tonsilitis was just that and not in fact a symptom of HIV infection.
I have read that normally signs of infection appear within 5 weeks of contact. is this true?
Also does anyone know the percentage of those who show negative at 9.5 weeks but positive at 12?
Am worrying myself stupid here so would be grateful for anyone who can put my mind at rest.

I know its possible to get one from oral sex but let me example the question further. If a guy were to give a girl oral sex could she receive an STD from him? Because the girls doesn't have one and the dude isn't using any body fuilds. It doesn't seem as if u would contract one through his mouth since you can't catch any from kissing. So could the girl still catch a STD through a guy performing oral sex on her? Basically you can't get an STD from a person if their using their mouth??

two years agou I became ifnfected during my visit in the UK. I have hed positive HBsAg. After half a year Anti-HBsAg was found in my blood. Now I met a girlfriend and am scared that I might pass it on her. How can I be sure that I can not?

be white up inside? It is not yeast,I know that because I do not itch nor do I have a discharge. Does vaginal dryness appear to be white sometimes up inside? I want to have sex with my husband and this keeps happening. It is so frustrating.

I just treated myself for a yeast infection. The white thick discharge is gone but my vulva is still pretty red and irritated...although it is slowly getting better. As I was obsessing over why I might still me irritated decided to check things out down there. Outside the opening of my vagina there are about 8 small, flesh colored raised bumps. There aren't painful to the touch nor do the itch....in fact, this area is the least of the irritated areas right now. I'm freaked out though...is it normal to have skin variations like this or could this be warts? HELP ME PLEASE!!!

She has or had Tuberculosis and some other weird skin diesease. I'm afraid that I might have something. I don't have any symptoms but I know that sometimes there are no symptoms, what should I do, other than get tested for all STD's??

Okay I know that a cold sore is in a way a form of herpes. But can the oral kind be spread to the vaginal area? I was wondering because my cousin was saying how they're two different kinda infections, that one may not be spread to another area. Here's my situation: I have been with the same partner for 5 years. I had 2 other partners before him but I always used condoms with them. My boyfriend now has been with 2 other girls before me. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old together.

Now the Question: I have been going to the gyno every year since I was 16 (Im 23). Well, I just got the results to my recent PAP smear and it said I have HPV. Can HPV lay dormant for over 5 years? Wouldn't they have found it on my PAP in 5 years?!! With 2 pregnancy with regular visits to the gyno it seems to me that it would have already been caught by now! I have no reason to believe that my boyfriend cheated and I know I have not. I know you all are going to say he cheated. But is there anyway one of us could have contracted it before we started dating and it is just now showing up. This is important so please gimme some serious answers. THANKS!!!

I have a dime size red painful soft lump on the inside of my right butt cheek, without pus. It has been there for over a week. It does not look like any pictures of Herpes I have found on the internet. But I am worried sick. It hurts to sit and it hurts when I walk because of friction. PLEASE HELP

Also, I have been with my boyfriend for just about a year now so I haven't been with anyone else for about a year and a half no and neither has he. He shows no signs or symptoms of anything, so I am thinking that whatever this is, it is not spreadable. I thought possibly a infected hair follicle, chafing, ingrown hair...not really sure. Symptoms: One small sore ... looks like a pin poke. No reddening, kinda hard, no inflamation, no other symptoms. Have it for about 7 monthes, has gone away only to reappear in the same spot a few days later.

Any idea what it is?

A couple months ago I met this girl. We made out a few times and got pretty serious although we never had sex.

I did finger her downstairs a few times with full penetration with my fingers. I often get small cuts on my fingers from my work.

Now, I stupidly asked her -after- a few times about her STDs and AIDS/HIV thing. However, she seemed to withdraw at that point, and never said explicitly that she didnt have it, just that if I was worried get a test. She just wouldnt say she definately didnt have it. It kind of went downhill from there and I haven't seen her in a while.

Now two months later, I feel sick. it's been that way for a month, nothing debilitating, I worry I did catch HIV and I've got seroconversion illness. Ive got a cough, diarrhea and I have general malaise. I previously in the month had a fever and a very mild rash over my upper body.

I'm terribly afraid to go see a doctor and get tested in case I'm told I am positive.

Can anyone give me some advice???
