AIDS is a really serious problem. People should definately worry about it more because it changes your life. I think people who have AIDS should be honest with their parteners (because most aren't) and warn them. AIDS is an auto immune disease. You get sick easily, and it will most likely result in a premature death.

I think a lot of people think that HIV and AIDS is no longer an American problem. Unfortunately, when HIV/AIDS reached epidemic levels in America, a lot of people didn't know or care because it was the gay community, and not their community that was suffering. I also worry now that it's not as much of a death sentence as it used to be, that people are less concerned with maintaining safe sex practices or awareness.

A person is diagnosed with AIDS if he or she has HIV, and if they present a low CD4 cell count and a high viral load. When a person gets to AIDS they start showing diseses that are called oportunistic infections such as tuberculosis, a kind of pneumonia, kaposis sarcoma, etc, etc. The first symptoms are fever, weight loss, diarreah, night sweats, cough, mouth sores.

Outlooks ... Most likely is the weight loss and enlarged lymph nodes where one could falls sick very easily .

I just feel sorry for the babies who are born with it, and have to enter life sick and cursed with a disease that will handicap their life in some way.
