A few days ago I developed a burning redness on the skin surrounding my penis. I was told that it could be a yeast infection due to a penicillian based antiboitic that I was taking.
Is it ok to put monistat cream on it?

If you've had unprotected sex, it could be herpes (if the other person was infected). Otherwise, it could be a yeast infection. You should see your doctor for treatment.

Yes...use monistat or any of the other yeast creams on it and it will clear up.....and be grateful you arent a woman...yeast infections are a lot harder to clear up for us, it takes longer, and is usually VERY uncomfortable!

It signifies that you're inflicting the starting up of ingrown hairs and this may proceed each and every time you shave that section. you favor to offer up doing this because you'll get painful pimples throughout this section because the hair tries to advance out through the exterior and it may't spoil through. contained in the interim as we talk, you could word hydrocortisone cream which acts as a drying agent and that's going to sparkling this up quickly. once you shave back, that's going to initiate throughout.

I would say that would be okay, and drink lots and lots of water.
