your also in the wrong section as thrush isnt an std its a yeast infection that can be passed by sex but is not related to sex
Thrush can develop when you have sex with someone who has the infection. However, it isn't usually related to sex and is more likely to occur when you:
wear tight trousers or nylon underwear
take certain antibiotics
are pregnant
are diabetic
are unwell or ill
use products that may cause irritation such as vaginal deodorants
You can't catch thrush from kissing, hugging, sharing baths, towels, cups, plates or cutlery, or from toilet seats or swimming pools.

Yes it is - through the toilet seat but use the rim on the seat and it is highlu unlikely to pass on. Thrush is caused by Yeast - a fungi. So better start using a cream for that. You could also use an anti-fungal powder in the area which goes by the name "Clotrimatazole" sold in India as Candid anti fungal powder

No its a fungal infection. Can be easily cleared up with products from the chemist and drinking plenty or water. Have heard that cranberry juice is also quite good for this

If you put down the toilet rim protector, and so do they, it is highly unlikely you will pass it.
Thrush is one of the conditions caused by a candida (yeast) overgrowth. Yeast is present in our intestines to help us digest food. Check out the yeast link at www.hufa.org for info on why it overgrows, and what to do when it does. The library link has some books you can read to help. I am on a yeast cleanse regimen, myself.

Absolutely impossible. But it's very easy to get rid of - just buy a Canesten Combi pack from the chemist.

Thrush cannot be transferred that way. If you live in the UK, you could always go to your local hospital's GUM clinic. Many offer drop-in clinics.

No.
Re the the problem of recurring bouts of candida - you need to consider your diet it could be that you are ingesting too many refined sugars. Alternatively if you are treating yourself, but your partner isn't - that could be the problem.
You need to check it out with your GP (incidentally you don't need to go private for this treatment)
