When you wash your face or take a bath, there are certain brand of soaps which leave a slimy feeling in the skin which takes more time and water to remove. Is this really part of the soap product design to give protection to the skin or this slimy feeling needs to be removed so that the skin is not damaged?

i have had been diagnoised with tarlov cysts. i seen a nuerosurgeon today and he stated i have inflammation of my joints. i have severe lower back pain and have incontinence and also have had a urinary tract infection. i can only stand at the sink for 5-10 minutes and it feels like my back sweels up to the point that i have to sit down. i also have pain from my back to my feet. he denied me pain medication and i am really suffering. he stated that i got the tarlov cysts from birth. from what i have read this don't seem possible. i realize dr's are not to educated with this rare condition and they look at me like i am crazy. i really don't know what to do. has anyone experienced this or have any advice for me because i don't know the next step to take. he suggested i go and get steriod shots in my back but from what i read it with only be temporary relief...someone please help..

So What can I do about having grose psoriasis on my scalp? it itches and flakes, and is rather embarrassing. I don't want to use chemicals, and I've already tried the shampooos that claim to be for psoriasis, so do you have a cure? I guess there is no CURE, but do you know of anything that will work or ease it up? also my hair is very dry! I am so embarrased that I don't want to go for a haircut! I don't want the hairdresser to be grosed out. is there any natural way's to get rid of , or at least help out with psoriasis of the scalp? Thanks.

What could I do to treat oily facial skin and deal with the half dryness? I get this once in a blue moon. My face gets so dry it hurts, and yet, half of it is oily. Sounds weird? I hope to not be the only one dealing with this. Any suggestions on products?

Same question has been posted multiple times already, but some answers are not specific enough. Some people recommend going to a good herbalist. Where would I find one? I never even heard of that before...
Some people recommend vitamin C. I tried taking it a while ago, after about 3 weeks it gave me nasty pimples on my face and as soon as stopped they went away. I tried again thinking it could be cuz of something else, but same thing happened. Why is that???
If I have a weak immune system, which I know I do cuz lately I've been getting sick a lot, how come my body won't accept vitamin C?

My one year old son has a (singular...not spider veins) blood vessel that surfaced on his nose -about 2-5mm in diameter. He scratched it once and it bleed profusely. The urgent care doctor said that they did not want to remove the scab to look at the site and that it should heal.

It did heal but the surface vessel remained and last night (about 3 weeks after healing) it seems to have burst in the middle of the night.

My guess is this will keep happening unless properl treated. We currently do not have health insurance and while we are more than happy to pay for treatment I don't want to pay 150 for some doctor to tell me to wait for it to heal. Thanks

Ok, please don't laugh. This is a serious question. I have a red rash around my anus. It's painless, and there's no itching or burning, and no discomfort at all unless my underwear rubs against it.

What could be the cause? Could it be caused by soap that's too harsh? I use that antibacterial soap in the dispensers at the gym and I use liquid hand soap in the bathroom at work (on a wet paper towel) to clean myself.

My 2 year old daughter has suddenly developed spots mostly her forearms but here and there on her legs and back. They are raised pink spots that seem flat and lighter in the middle. She has had all her vaccines and I don't think they are chicken pox. She is not sick or ichy or feverish and I don't want to bother the doctor at this hour.

The bumps are very hard to see until I itch them until they bleed and create tiny scabs. They are pinpoint and sporatic. Mostly on my chest, belly, back, arms and legs. Not on face, hands, wrists or fingers. The puppy also suffers from intense itching and has lost most of its fur and has scabbed covered rash on belly, legs, head and tail. The tail is the most bloody. The puppy also has a strong odor like a yeast infection. Please help! Did I get it or give it to the puppy? I have sent the puppy to the vet but have not heard back. The rash has gotten better since the puppy is out of the house but has not completely gone away. It seems worse at night.

I am currently using this medication for acne, 10mg/day but yesterday I got some abrasion on my facial skin, bleeds abit and its raw and reddish now from constant scratching due to the side effects which cause my already sensitive skin to be very itchy. Should I continue with Roaccutane because I heard that people should not go for treatments like microdermasion during the course. Thanks.

My science teacher says its really bad to pop acne he says the best way is to use a local treatment (i.e. Pro-Active, Clearisil) or a perscription from your doctor. Why does popping the Acne do to your body?

hello I keep on getting acne in my chin and my upper lip. At first I thought it was waxing but then when I looked at the mirror my pimples actually mirror the beard and mustache of boyfriend. I don't usually have pimples in these areas until I met him. Do you think my pimples are caused by his facial hair? Has anybody had experienced this before? I don't want to tell him to shave it off because he always tells me he likes his beard and stuff.. and He had them for like a long time? What should I do? Does washing his beard every now and then may help? Thanks for all the responses in advance.
