Since winter came, I got these red... rashes, I think, on my hands. They're pretty red, and kind of rough. Anyone have an idea about what they are caused by? I'm guessing it's from the cold, dry weather, but I wanted to ask around. Thank ye muchly!

I have a rash, but not any of the ones I have read about concerning pregnancy. It's red and dry, but not blistering, no bumps. It's on the back of both hands and both hands are a little swollen. I am not swollen anywhere else and have no other strange symptoms. Has this happened to anyone? Could it be related to the pregnancy (35 weeks along)? What is it?

I just started this job where I basically work on the electrical side of automobiles so my hands are often getting scraped and cut. The guy I work with has been there for about 3 years and he showed me his hands and they are all dry and rough. It has gotten really cold here like below 0. I can tell that my hands are starting to get dry because they are turning red around the knuckles and they hurt like hell. How can I do what I do at work and be able to prevent from having dry rough chapped hands??

I have always heard that when you press on your nail it's supposed to look white and when you let go, it's supposed to go back to it's normal color. What does it mean when it stays white?

my dad had really bad dry skin on his hands and legs. it's red and raw in some spots. he's had it for years now and been to doctors a few times about it and been on a number of meds and now is using a 285 dollar cream called eleydel (sp). hes tried balms, creams, vitamins and everything under the sun. anyone run into this before or seen it? i mean its really bad and hes extremely uncomfortable. his hands are cracked, raw and bleed at times. its not a reaction to anything, at least he doesnt think so. hes had it for years. anyone have any ideas on something he could take or eat, anything that might help?
