A skin bleach will not help and in fact will make it worse. Your skin is not red, it is the blood vessels under the skin. bleaching will just lighten your skin so they can be seen better. First see your doctor about a condition called rosacea. This can cause broken blood vesseles and funny breakouts. Sun exposure and alcohol can make it worse. There are RX meds like metrogel and clindamicin that can help it. If you are looking for over the counter stuff, try a vitamin K cream. It shrinks the blood vessels under the skin but it has to be used long term. Bottom line... see your doctor. good luck!

Bleaching your skin isn't going to help the broken blood vessels...they're underneath the skin. Bleaching only lightens the skin.

I would suggest that you stop with the bleaching immediately. You need something that will cover the redness without "choking" your skin. Try a mineral makeup. I myself have found that since switching from "over the counter" makeups to a mineral makeup my skin is much better and it covers redness like a charm! I use Larenim myself but you need to find the one that works best for you. I found it a a healthfood store!

You can find out more about Larenim at their website. It has lots of information about skin and mineral makeups. Go to www.larenim.com and check out "Your Healthy Skin" and Kirsten's weblog.

Good Luck

I have these too. No to the bleach. What you have are weakened capillaries that have burst and are leaking blood, causing red splotches. Bleaching can not take it away. Vitamin K cream or oil will strengthen the walls of the capillary which will stop the bleeding and after a short while the leaked blood will dry and disapear.
It is hard to get vitamin K cream if you live in Canada but easy anywhere else.

Skin bleaching creams won't help with that. They primarily work on melanin, the brown pigment in skin. A dermatologist would be able to help you with the blood vessels.

Good luck!
