I have always heard that when you press on your nail it's supposed to look white and when you let go, it's supposed to go back to it's normal color. What does it mean when it stays white?

poor tissue perfusion having to do with your circulation and not enough oxygen perfusing to the extremities to bring the color back. 3 seconds is the normal they go by to say u have good or bad circulation. over 3 not normal, under 3 is ok
