why does my forehead keep getting oily?

I wash my face twice daily. I use bar soap. "Safeguard" brand.

i found that when i cleaned my ears out twice daily they began producing as much ear wax as when i just cleaned them out once daily. so maybe the theory is the same, your body is rapidly trying to replace the oil it lost because you wash your face often. but i dont know i am no expert in this subject

You have oily skin on your forehead. That will mean a certain cleansing routine which includes oily skin coverage.

Don't let it get you down. At 41, the lack of wrinkles is due to the oily skin I endured for years. I rarely wear foundation because of the consistent wiping of my face with a damp cloth or paper towel I perform daily.

If you're young and unwrinkled, be thankful to those oils for whats ahead. You could end up attending your 25th High School Reunion and see some of those so called beautiful people looking rather flaccid.

Your sebaceous glands just keep pumping it out; you might want to consider a milder soap; dry skin will not make good use of the oil that is produced, and it will often sit on the surface, making the skin oilier than it has to be.

if you want it to stop, i suggest clean and clear formula. (its a pink liquid). It is alcohol and salycilic acid. the 41% alcohol would neutralize the oil. of course you could also use rubbing alcohol, but it burns... hope this helps
