Skin Conditions - January 2007

I have what looks like a small growth of skin in the corner of my nose near the cheek. I have alot of people with these. Are they dangerous and can they be removed. It is only small but seems like it is growing

my boyfriend's sty is getting worse. we went to the doctor and she gave us the advice of placing teabags on top of his eyelids and washing them out with baby shampoo. she also prescribed him some pills and some eyedrops, but as he started the regimen, it appeared to go down, but now it's getting worse. it looks almost as though he has a lima bean caught between his eyeball and eyelid. please help. they are starting to hurt him and i am concerned.

hi! i'm a 13 year old girl and i have mild to moderate acne. i have some whiteheads and pimples on my fore head, some blackheads and pimples on my nose, and a lot of stubborn pimples on my chin. I asked a question before about sensitve acne treatment, but i found out i don't have sensitive skin. i would really appreciate it if you would help me find the right cleanser, moisurizer, and acne medication that work together. thank you!

My brother is 36 and keeps himself very clean, however these spots , appear as from nowhere and can be very vicious, he has tried all sorts of medication, and speciallised skin cleansing products but to no avail; his work does not aggravate this condition, but it is rather disfiguring and does tend to give him a bit of a complex any ideas?

I have been using zineryt. and it has helped to stop any more spots forming, but the ones i did have, have left scars. how can i get rid of them? is bio - oil any good?

Hi people!

I really hope that this year my skin gets back to how it used to be - which was clear!

I feel really bad at the moment and I am sick of my adult acne that suddenly appeared since summer. And just before xmas, my face was red raw, sore and itchy. The doc said I had a infection on my face and gave me four strong anti-biotics for six days. Things calmed down after the last day of taking them but two days later it came back - so I rang up for a repeat perscription and I am back on them for another six days again.

Although all the redness hasnt gone, but it has clamed down. I am wondering what causes facial infections? I use a gentle soap on my skin and I dont use make-up. Has anyone has any ideas?

I got a mole removed 7 months ago, but the scar is stil there. It's probably smaller than a dime, but it's really bothering me and I feel selfconscious because of it and I think it looks more noticeable because I have brownish skin and it's pinkish (still a little bumpy, not flat). It's on my neck and I can't take it anymore, I'll do anything even surgery. I heard you can't totally get rid of scars, but can you tell me how much of it will be gone and how much it will cost? I'll try to save money and get rid of it anyway I can.

I have had Eczema since I was born, so i know what exzema looks like. But my cheeks are red and blotchy, They get deeper red when i am embarrased,tired,drunk,and takes and hour for the redness to go down!, i have had this for so long, its not eczema. But i am wondering if this is possibly rosacea. can someone tell me if this could be rosacea, or something else.... Thanks!

a few weeks ago i noticed as i was brushing my hair that there was a few small spots on my head that were extremly tender and sore to touch...not bigger than dime size areas....well that went away and now i woke up this morning with 2 sore spots again...as if i fell and hit my head....this is weird ...i had a head CT 2 months ago because of migraines and blurred vision but that was completly normal....can anyone relate?? ive been throwing myself into a major panic attack because of this....
