What could I do to treat oily facial skin and deal with the half dryness? I get this once in a blue moon. My face gets so dry it hurts, and yet, half of it is oily. Sounds weird? I hope to not be the only one dealing with this. Any suggestions on products?

It sounds like you've got combination skin. Oily down the centre ? Dry on the cheeks. Same as my skin, which is also very sensitive to soap products. Don't use soap on your face for a start. Find a creamy cleansing milk for combination skin. I like eucerin cleanser as it's gentle and thorough.

I then use sea buckthorn oil every night to moisturise and keep my skin in tip top condition as it is just packed with anti-oxidants and is instantly absorbed. It moisturizes your dry skin and balances oil production in the "T Zone".

Do a search on "benefits of sea buckthorn oil". It's amazing stuff... everybody should have some in their medicine cabinet.

I get mine from here - http://www.rosacea-remedy.com/ because it hasn't been heavily diluted with other oils , so I know exactly what I'm putting on my skin and don't need to buy it so often.

Your product may be too drying, which causes your skin to produce excess oil and also break out, will also cause the dry patches. Maybe try something less harsh.

I can't say that I have that problem, but I know a few of my friends have. They started using that proactive stuff and they look great now!
