I just recently tried some new stuff the other day. My lips are always dry and cracked so I found this stuff made my Sally Hansen. It's a 24 hour lip treatment- I noticed a major difference the very next day after I started using it.

What I use when my lips get really dry and cracked is neosporin. It works great and you probably have some in your house. You are might also be dehydrated so make sure you drink water like a camel. If nothing works I would suggest going to see a dermatologist because they would be able to proscribe you something stronger.

Make sure you are drinking enough water every day, along with lip balm or vaseline. Keeping hydrated is important in preventing your skin from drying out. I use a lip balm called blistex which is quite good it also has a sunscreen in it.

Mine too. This time of year its bad.. Something really simple is chapstick.. No frills.. the one in the black casing. .Don't buy the cherry flavored etc.. Just get the basic.. I work outdoors and use it religiously.. I think the brand has or did have an NFL emblem on the side of it too. You can buy it at any drugstore, Walmart etc..

The only balm I found that provides long term relief is carmex lip balm. I only need to apply it twice a day as it is stays put asopposed to many of the others .... it's very soothing and cooling as well....

As I noticed from my practice, when my lips are open outside at temperatures less than 0 celcius, they keep cracking. But when I protect them with a scarf, they never crack any more, and they are very healthy. Lips are more sensitive than our hands at cold temperatures.
Try also not to wet them with your saliva, as saliva makes it crack more.

try to avoid licking your lips. Are you getting enough Vitamin B and folic acid? I also use Blistex (I like the one in the teal-green tube).
