I am currently using this medication for acne, 10mg/day but yesterday I got some abrasion on my facial skin, bleeds abit and its raw and reddish now from constant scratching due to the side effects which cause my already sensitive skin to be very itchy. Should I continue with Roaccutane because I heard that people should not go for treatments like microdermasion during the course. Thanks.

Also will it leave any scars behind?

James if you are very concerned you could see a doctor, otherwise abrasion by definition is very superficial so it should not leave scars. Not to go for procedures is probably because it would impair healing, with that reference it can impair healing even now. I would recommend you to use skin moisturisers, consider over the counter antibiotic cream for prophylactic use. Even if you quit this drug for a few days, worst is the potential of worsening your acne, that can come under control later.

Easiest is to call your doctor's nurse. Good luck

hi, sorry to take heed to about the floor heritage... I had negative pimples myself and that i understand how undesirable that is. I went to a dermatologist at 16, they wanted to positioned me on roaccutane, yet because it would want to reason delivery defects, they began me on the contraceptive pill initially (particular pill called Dianette). i became fortunate - the contraceptive pill worked by technique of itself. Dianette is commonplace for being valuable in treating pimples, regardless of the reality that, besides as an oral contraceptive. perchance ask your healthcare professional about it? From what I understand, roaccutane is an somewhat powerful drug and it may bring about melancholy and suicidal ideas in a small yet major quantity - that is a commonplace facet result. it would want to also somewhat dry out the floor interior the destiny. in case you ultimately end up experiencing any adverse indications then perchance verify such as your healthcare professional the alternative of Dianette. It worked somewhat properly for me, and that i had heavily undesirable pimples! good success!
