This is because I heard that our skin pores are open at night time and that some of the water may actually enter into our system. Since our bodies contain a lot of water, this should not be a problem. However, our lungs are different matter, and hence the concern. Is there any concrete evidence/study done on this? Can someone comment on this. Thanks.

I've had a pretty bad case of bronchitis for about 3 weeks and this morning my eye's were caked in crusty goo when I woke up and they've been pretty red and dry all day. Also the last few days every time I blow my nose (no matter if i plug one side or blow with both nostrils open) my right ear pops, preceeded by a horribly loud squelching sound. I live in Canada and don't want to wait another 4 hours at the clinic to find out that these are common symptoms of bronchitis so I thougth I'd see if anyone here knows anything.

My son who is 2 yrs old has been having repeated bouts of bronchitis since our stay in Fort Drum, NY. I think he can develop asthma from this. The climate here is extreme in the winter and I've notice today on his med record that he sees a doctor for bronchitis almost every month. I understand that it's normal for children to get sick during the winter but his is more extreme. Now, he's got a high temperature (103) and was just diagnosed with what do you know bronchitis again. Can we get him on the EFMP list to get out of here? I consider him as a special needs child. This is just getting ridiculous.

I have been having repreated tonsil infections, and my uvula sticks to my tonsils or my tongue. I have difficulty swallowing at times. My doctor had me take home something to see if I had any incidents at night while sleeping where I stopped breathing, because I have started snoring. The thing I brought home said I had 71 incidents, but I haven't heard anything back from the doctors office, is that I high number or normal?

I have a friend who is 60, and is having some loss of hearing, mainly having to turn the volume up on the television. Besides this, he has a "roaring" kind of noise which makes it hard to enjoy music. He had a regular family dr. check him and prescribed nose spray and Clariton for allergies (which he has also) but he could not even afford these with the nose spray being over $100. At the recommendation of the pharmacist, he bought over the counter nose spray and medicine equivilent to Clariton. These have not changed his hearing. My main question, is what could be causing this "roaring" (like a truck engine, he says)? What can be done about it? He has no medical insurance to see a nose, ear and throat specialist.
Thank-you.
Pam

I've been coughing alot lately for the last year or so. Its not a big cough, but more of a little cough of breath. I'm worried that it might be a sign of something wrong with my lungs or whatever. Anyone have any ideas?
