I've had acute bronchitis for 7 days, is it still in the contagious stage?

I am feeling better, but still recovering. I know It can take 7-14 days to feel better, but not sure when it is not contagious.

If you have been on antibiotics for more than 24-48 hours, you are not contagious.

Acute bronchitis is not contagious. Especially if you taking antibiotics.

I didn't know bronchitis was contagious. I would think that bronchitis is just simply inflammation of the lungs (bronchi). Why would that be contagious? It could be from just inhaling noxious fumes, for example.

Bronchitis is not contagious. It is an inflammation of your bronchi. But it can be triggered by a cold, flu, or pneumonia. So if you are contagious it would be from one of those factors...

I have never heard so many its not contagious before.. guess I had better let my dr. know he is wrong... lol.. anyway, as stated if you have been on antibiotics for 48 hrs. your fine (as far as contagious goes).. Get well..

if you are on antibiotics and don't have a fever I wouldn't think it's still contagious.
