Apprently some people whined about primatene mist so now it is no longer sold. What they forgot to think about is some of us don't have insurance and that was the only option we had for a medication that actually helped us to breathe. But i guess some of us being able to breathe is not as important as their cause. i have no insurance and very little extra money - how are those of us in this situation supposed to get some kind of bronchial inhaler now?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

i am a 12 year old boy and have had asthma all my life. Lately, (within the past few days) i've had chest tightness. Other people with asthma will know what i mean. I use my inhaler, and for the most part, it goes away. My uncle passed away recently and i am under ALOT of stress. I'm starting to cough, not the asthma cough, but a regular cough. I know about asthma and everything about it. My question is, is having a tight feeling in my chest normal? I might be getting an asthma "flair" but i just want to know. Can stress cause an asthma "flair" ? I am just curiuos, can somebody help me?

Ok if a company makes a drug and its messed up and makes people sick they take it off market and pull it off all shelves and just don't ever sell it or make it ever again right. Why in the sam h-ll are they allowed to still sell, make cigaretts? They say thats the leading cause in lung cancer.Death here and nobody will remove them from shelves.kids are getting these things that are more addictive than any drug in the world and they havent pulled them.Whats the difference between cigs and a drug that wont work? That they have to pull?

Hi I have a 5 year old boy who suffers with cough variant asthma in the winter months, his medication consists of a singular tablet daily and seredite preventive inhaler and ventilion inhaler. He is symptom free during the summer months but throughout the winter months suffers a lot, requiring prednisole steroids on average six times between september and may. I have tried acupunture for the past year but no major improvement. At present i am doing a course of reflexology to see if it makes any improvement. Has anyone tried it with success, or any other alternative that is useful

My 79 year old grandmother went in to have a hysterectomy last Monday. She was in good health other than needing the hysterectomy due to her uterus dropping. She was given a bowel prep to do the night before. She started vommiting a couple of hours after drinking it and continued to vommit all night. When she arrived at the hospital for her surgery, she was still vomitting. The doctor told her he was going to go ahead with the surgery. During anaesthesia she vomitted and aspirated it into her lungs. The doctor says he put a "plug" in her throat that should have blocked the vommit and doesn't know why it didn't work. She is now on a ventilator and has pneumonia. She has been this way for a week. I know that this could have been prevented. I don't understand why the doctor went ahead and tried to do the surgery anyway. Also, if a medical person reads this, what are the chances of her comming off the ventilator?

I might have asthma and I am planning on joining the Marines. I was just wondering if you can cure it with some kind of medication that will destroy at least 99.9% of it? If so, what kind of medicine is it called and where can I get it from?

My 20th birthday was on Saturday and I spent most of the night throwing up. Yesterday, I felt fine, but today I've been having a hard time breathing. Every time I laugh, it hurts and has progressively gotten worse through out the day. It feels like indigestion, but it's making me nervous that I can't take deep breaths. I am going to visit a doctor in the morning, but should I not wait?
